& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Second Album Reissued On 180g Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of their debut album, the prog rock icons are releasing their first four albums as special vinyl editions. Their second album was originally released in the summer of 1971, and was produced by Tony Visconti, like their debut album. The tracks on the album are less blues and soul inspired, and more experimental and varied; in the words of the band, more 'unique, adventurous and fascinating'. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;High end 180g black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with the original artwork including all lyrics! & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; The band's second album is a major advance on its first, featuring superior singing, playing, and songwriting, as well as a more unified sound, without sacrificing the element of surprise in the first record. Many of the melodies and even the riffs here have a pretty high haunt count, and all of the musicianship displays an elegance seldom heard even in progressive circles - but the record also, amazingly enough, rocks really hard as well. Elements of hard rock and Gregorian chants mix freely and, amazingly enough, well throughout this album. & lt;footer & gt; -AllMusic & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;50th Anniversary Reissue & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold sleeve & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Original artwork & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lyrics & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in EU & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Pantagruel's Nativity & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Edge Of Twilight & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The House, The Street, The Room & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Acquiring The Taste & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wreck & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Moon Is Down & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Black Cat & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Plain Truth & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Their third album was originally released in April 1972, and was produced by the band itself. The concept album was more rock-orientated than the two predecessors, was lauded by fans and critics alike, and gave the band their first US chart placing. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;High end 180g black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with the original European artwork including all lyrics! & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; Gentle Giant's third album was another advance, this time in the direction of a harder rock sound - everything sounds turned up here, especially the guitars, the bass, and the electronic keyboards. Three Friends hardly sacrificed any of the group's progressive intentions, however, and there are some softer moments here, such as the playful, sprightly first half of 'Schooldays'; the harmonies and arrangements still had a distinctly medieval feel, and the melodies, though a little harder to discern here (which made them even more appealing when they did become obvious), were quite engaging. & lt;footer & gt; -AllMusic & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;50th Anniversary Reissue & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold sleeve & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Original European artwork & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lyrics & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in EU & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Prologue & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Schooldays & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Working All Day & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Peel The Paint & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Mister Class And Quality? & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Three Friends & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Fourth Album Reissued On 180g Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of their debut album, the prog rock icons are releasing their first four albums as special vinyl editions. Their fourth album was originally released in December 1972, and - like the predecessor - was produced by the band itself. This was the last album on which founding member Phil Shulman played, and for many fans it is one of their best works. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;High end 180g black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with the original European artwork including all lyrics! & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; Returning to Gentle Giant's fourth album after any kind of lengthy absence, it's astonishing just how little Octopus has dated. Often written off at the time as a pale reflection of the truly gargantuan steps being taken by the likes of Jethro Tull and Barclay James Harvest, the band's closest relatives in the tangled skein of period prog, Gentle Giant often seemed more notable for its album art than its music. Octopus, however, marries the two seamlessly, with the cover speaking for itself, of course. And the mood continues within, the deliciously convoluted opening 'The Advent of Panurge' itself riding waves of sonic tentacles as Gary Green's guitar shrieks short but so effective bursts around the thundering bass and, occasionally, churchy organ. Against the pulsating volume of the album's heavier tracks, the band's excursions into less excitable territory are never less than captivating. & lt;footer & gt; -AllMusic & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;50th Anniversary & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold sleeve & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Original European artwork & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lyrics & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in EU & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Advent Of Panurge & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Raconteur Troubadour & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;A Cry For Everyone & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Knots & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Boys In The Band & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Dog's Life & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Think Of Me With Kindness & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;River & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Gentle Giant Free Hand (Steven Wilson Mix+Flat Mix) 180g 2LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;180g Vinyl Double LP! & lt;br & gt; The Classic Album Transferred From The Original Master Tapes! & lt;br & gt; LP2 Remixed by Steven Wilson! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Free Hand was Gentle Giant's seventh album originally released in July 1975. This album was the most commercially successful of the band's career reaching the top 40 albums in Billboard Magazine. It stands as the culmination of the band's maturity, following the successes of In A Glass House & amp; The Power & amp; The Glory. Having toured Europe & amp; North America non-stop in the years prior to this release with artists like Jethro Tull, Yes, Zappa etc, the band had gone from strength to strength. By the time Freehand was released Gentle Giant had become a major headliner in its own right. All the members were multi-instrumentalists. The band were never afraid of surprising an audience with a 4 part recorder ensemble followed by a vibraphone solo, all the while rocking the audience and thoroughly enjoying themselves on stage at the same time. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Gentle Giant albums featured many songs with both literary subjects as well as social and personal commentary on life as rock musicians. Free Hand has more than most. The title of the album and first track were so named as the band had just changed record labels and management and felt unshackled by prior contractual obligations. Putting these issues behind them upon its first release, Gentle Giant embarked on an extensive tour of North America and Europe, plus a short tour of the UK, to promote the album. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The incredible range of Gentle Giant's music is evident throughout this album. From the intricate vocal fretwork of & quot;On Reflection & quot; and the delicate medieval flavor of & quot;Talybont & quot; the Celtic-tinged rock of & quot;Time To Kill & quot; and the jagged rhythms of & quot;Just The Same & quot; - all those diverse elements which made the band so strikingly original are skillfully blended and perfectly executed. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Award winning producer and musician Steven Wilson has added his delicate touch in remixing Free Hand in Dolby Atmos & amp; 5.1 surround sound. His tonal range and painstaking attention to sound quality make Free Hand sound as fresh today as it did on first release. A fitting tribute to the compositional skills and expertise of five dedicated musicians. This double vinyl album includes both the original flat mix and Steven Wilson remixed version. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Transferred from the Original Master Tapes & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Steven Wilson's 2021 Remixes in Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround Sound & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in EU & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;LP1 - Transfer From The Original Master Tapes & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side 1: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Just The Same & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;On Reflection & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Free Hand & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side 2: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Time To Kill & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;His Last Voyage & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Talybont & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Mobile & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;LP2 - Steven Wilson 2021 Remixes & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side 1: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Just The Same & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;On Reflection & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Free Hand & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side 2: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Time To Kill & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;His Last Voyage & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Talybont & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Mobile & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;
