2019 Grammy Award Nominee: • Best Contemporary Blues Album
The music on Cry No More was written by Danielle Nicole which allowed her to spread her wings and create a deeply compelling collection of songs. The album also includes the Bill Withers penned song "Hot Spell".
"Im definitely taking more chances now," Danielle Nicole says of Cry No More, her second solo album and the follow-up to her widely acclaimed 2015 solo debut Wolf Den. "I grew up playing the blues, and the blues is still a big part of what I do. But now Im reaching out more and trying different things. It still sounds like me, but Im stretching out a lot more than I have previously." - bassmusicianmagazine.com, December 2017
