Woman in 1971, Morrison moved to Paris, France. In the meantime, the three other members stayed behind in Los Angeles where they worked on music for what would be The Doors' seventh studio album. When the legendary singer passed away on July 3, 1971, the trio agreed to continue on, using those songs as the basis for Other Voices, with Krieger and Manzarek now sharing vocal duties. Released in 1971, the album featured the two singles & quot;Tightrope Ride & quot; and & quot;Ships w/ Sails. & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Doors, one of the most influential and controversial rock bands of the 1960s, were formed in Los Angeles in 1965 by UCLA film students Ray Manzarek, keyboards, and Jim Morrison, vocals; with drummer John Densmore and guitarist Robby Krieger. The group never added a bass player, and their sound was dominated by Manzarek's electric organ work and Morrison's deep, sonorous voice, with which he sang and intoned his highly poetic lyrics. The group signed to Elektra Records in 1966 and released its first album, The Doors, featuring the hit & quot;Light My Fire, & quot; in 1967. Like & quot;Light My Fire, & quot; the debut album was a massive hit, and endures as one of the most exciting, groundbreaking recordings of the psychedelic era. Blending blues, classical, Eastern music, and pop into sinister but beguiling melodies, the band sounded like no other. With his rich, chilling vocals and somber poetic visions, Morrison explored the depths of the darkest and most thrilling aspects of the psychedelic experience. Their first effort was so stellar, in fact, that The Doors were hard-pressed to match it, and although their next few albums contained a wealth of first-rate material, the group also began running up against the limitations of their recklessly disturbing visions. By their third album, they had exhausted their initial reservoir of compositions, and some of the tracks they hurriedly devised to meet public demand were clearly inferior to, and imitative of, their best early work. On The Soft Parade, the group experimented with brass sections, with mixed results. Accused (without much merit) by much of the rock underground as pop sellouts, the group charged back hard with the final two albums they recorded with Morrison, on which they drew upon stone-cold blues for much of their inspiration, especially on 1971's L.A. Woman. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; From the start, The Doors' focus was the charismatic Morrison, who proved increasingly unstable over the group's brief career. In 1969, Morrison was arrested for indecent exposure during a concert in Miami, an incident that nearly derailed the band. Nevertheless,The Doors managed to turn out a series of successful albums and singles through 1971, when, upon the completion of L.A. Woman, Morrison decamped for Paris. He died there, apparently of a drug overdose. The three surviving Doors tried to carry on without him, but ultimately disbanded. Yet The Doors' music and Morrison's legend continued to fascinate succeeding generations of rock fans: in the mid-'80s, Morrison was as big a star as he'd been in the mid-'60s, and Elektra has sold numerous quantities ofThe Doors' original albums plus reissues and releases of live material over the years, while publishers have flooded bookstores with Doors and Morrison biographies. In 1991, director Oliver Stone made The Doors, a feature film about the group starring Val Kilmer as Morrison. The remaining three members of The Doors--Manzarek, Densmore, and Krieger-- were involved in various musical activities in the decades following Morrison's death but never saw successes approaching the levels of the original Doors. After the turn of the millennium, Manzarek and Krieger performed live under the name Doors of the 21st Century with singer Ian Astbury of the Cult handling vocals; a legal battle ensued when Densmore filed suit against his former bandmates over use of the Doors name. Ray Manzarek died in May 2013 in Rosenheim, Germany after battling bile duct cancer; he was 74 years old. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Remastered & lt;br & gt; • Pressed at Quality Record Pressings & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side One: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. To commemorate the album's 30-year anniversary, Rhino releases a vinyl boxed set that includes the original album together with three 12 & quot; EPs from that era: Body And Soul, No Time To Cry, and Walk Away. The set contains four LPs, all pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and comes packed in an attractive card slipcase. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; When The Sisters of Mercy signed with WEA in May 1984, the band consisted of Andrew Eldritch (vocals), Gary Marx and Wayne Hussey (guitars), Craig Adams (bass), and a drum machine named Doktor Avalanche. The group's first release for the label was the 12 & quot; EP Body and Soul. Eldritch once described the release as: & quot;a vision of heaven with everyone on speed. & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In March 1985, almost a year after Body And Soul, The Sisters of Mercy released its landmark album, First and Last and Always . It climbed to #14 on the album charts in the band's native England. Among the standout tracks are & quot;Marian, & quot; & quot;Rock And A Hard Place, & quot; and the ominous & quot;Black Planet, & quot; which was released as a single in the U.S. Even though the album was enthusiastically embraced by goth rock culture, Eldritch has steadfastly rejected the label, saying the band has more in common with classic rock from the Sixties than the post-punk scene of the Eighties & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Also featured in this set are two singles from First and Last and Always that were issued as 12 & quot; singles with multiple b-sides. & quot;Walk Away & quot; was backed with & quot;Poison Door & quot; and & quot;On The Wire. & quot; With was followed by & quot;No Time To Cry, & quot; which was backed with & quot;Blood Money & quot; and & quot;Bury Me Deep. & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 30th Anniversay Edition & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • 1LP & amp; 3EP Box Set & lt;br & gt; • Housed in Attractive Card Slipcase & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Andrew Eldritch, vocals & lt;br & gt; Craig Adams, bass guitar & lt;br & gt; Wayne Hussey, guitar, vocals & lt;br & gt; Gary Marx, guitar & lt;br & gt; Doktor Avalanche (drum machine), drums & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; First and Last and Always LP & lt;br & gt; Side One: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Standing on a Beach reached number four in the U.K., but more importantly it established the band as a major cult act in the U.S.; the album peaked at number 48 and went gold within a year. In short, Standing on a Beach set the stage for 1987's double album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. The album was eclectic but it was a hit, spawning four hit singles in the U.K. ( & quot;Why Can't I Be You, & quot; & quot;Catch, & quot; & quot;Just Like Heaven, & quot; & quot;Hot Hot Hot!!! & quot;) and the group's first American Top 40 hit, & quot;Just Like Heaven. & quot; Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me was more accessible and ambitious than any of the Cure's previous albums, the double album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me finds Robert Smith expanding his pop vocabulary by tentatively adding bigger guitars, the occasional horn section, lite-funk rhythms, and string sections. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;b & gt;LP 1 & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;br & gt; & lt;/b & gt; 1. The Cure The Head On the Door 180g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;b & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;1985 Album Reissued On 180g Vinyl LP! Features Signature Hits & quot;In Between Days & quot; & amp; & quot;Close To Me! & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Remastered By Robert Smith! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The 1985 release, The Head On the Door, was the sixth studio album from The Cure. The album brilliantly fused brooding, artistic experimentation with pop instincts to propel the band onto the American charts for the first time. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Out of all the bands that emerged in the immediate aftermath of punk rock in the late '70s, few were as enduring and popular as the Cure. Led through numerous incarnations by guitarist/vocalist Robert Smith (born April 21, 1959), the band became notorious for its slow, gloomy dirges and Smith's ghoulish appearance, a public image that often hid the diversity of the Cure's music. At the outset, the Cure played jagged, edgy pop songs before slowly evolving into a more textured outfit. As one of the bands that laid the seeds for goth rock, the group created towering layers of guitars and synthesizers, but by the time goth caught on in the mid-'80s, the Cure had moved away from the genre. By the end of the '80s, the band had crossed over into the mainstream not only in its native England, but also in the United States and in various parts of Europe. The Cure remained a popular concert draw and reliable record-seller throughout the '90s, and their influence could be heard clearly on scores of new bands during the new millennium, including many that had little to do with Goth. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;After recording one of their darkest albums, 1984's The Top, the Cure regrouped and shuffled their lineup, which changed their musical direction rather radically. While the band always had a pop element in their sound and even recorded one of the lightest songs of the '80s, 'The Lovecats,' The Head on the Door is where they become a hitmaking machine. The shiny, sleek production and laser-sharp melodies of 'In Between Days' and 'Close to Me' helped them become modern rock radio staples and the inspired videos had them in heavy rotation on MTV. The rest of the record didn't suffer for hooks and inventive arrangements either, making even the gloomiest songs like 'Screw' and 'Kyoto Song' sound radio-ready, and the inventive arrangements (the flamenco guitars and castanets of 'The Blood,' the lengthy and majestic intro to 'Push,' the swirling vocals on 'The Baby Screams') give the album a musical depth previous efforts lacked...With The Head on the Door, Robert Smith figured out how to make gloom and doom danceable and popular to both alternative and mainstream rock audiences... & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Tim Sendra, allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Remastered by Robert Smith & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Led through numerous incarnations by guitarist/vocalist Robert Smith (born April 21, 1959), the band became notorious for its slow, gloomy dirges and Smith's ghoulish appearance, a public image that often hid the diversity of the Cure's music. Melancholy and despondent (the feel of funerals and old churches just oozes from this record) without the anger that would over take Pornography, Faith comes off as not just a collection of songs, but as a full piece. 'The Holy Hour,' 'All Cats Are Grey,' and the spectacular 'Faith' are slow atmospheric pieces that take the softer elements from Seventeen Seconds, and -- when sidled up next to faster tracks like the single 'Primary' and 'Doubt' -- paint an overall picture of the ups and downs contained within a greater depressive period. But it's not all gloomy keyboards and minimalist percussion, Faith is also a milestone for Robert Smith lyrically, branching out into questions of faith and spirituality he never quite touched on so well ever again. A depressing record, certainly, but also one of the most underrated and beautiful albums the Cure put together. They would not touch on this sort of lush sadness so well again until 1989's Disintegration. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Chris True, allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Remastered By Robert Smith & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. As one of metal's most ferocious acts, with one of its most insanely devoted audiences, it's clear as an empty whiskey bottle that Pantera's impact and influence on heavy music is still being felt. Loathe to admit it, the Texas band had in fact been one of those '80s metal bands, releasing fairly unsuccessful (and later disowned) glam-inspired music throughout much of the decade. The about-face came with the addition of vocalist Phil Anselmo, and the key turning point was the band's major-label debut, Cowboys from Hell (1990). Pantera's mainstream breakthrough came next with Vulgar Display of Power(1992), their second major-label album, which thrust the band to the forefront of the metal scene, alongside such veteran bands Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax, as well as fellow up-and-comers Sepultura and White Zombie. By the time Pantera unleashed Far Beyond Driven (1994), after two long years of touring, they were the most popular metal band in the land: the new album debuted atop the Billboard Top 200 as its lead single, 'I'm Broken,' was getting massive airplay. At the height of their popularity and influence, Pantera began to self-destruct. Less than two months after the release of The Great Southern Trendkill (1996) -- an album ridden with allusions to drug abuse and personal destruction --Anselmo overdosed on heroin after a homecoming concert in Texas, and as tensions rose between him and his fellow bandmembers, he began engaging with a growing list of side projects that kept him away from Pantera. A live album, Official Live: 101 Proof (1997), was compiled for release when it became evident that no new studio album was forthcoming any time soon. One final studio album did result, Reinventing the Steel (2000), but that was more or less it for the briefly reunited Pantera. The bandmembers once again went their separate ways, forming such bands as Damageplan, Down, and Superjoint Ritual. The end of Pantera then became official on December 8, 2004, when guitarist Dimebag Darrell was murdered on-stage by a deranged fan. This much-publicized murder shone the spotlight back on Pantera for an extended moment, and amid all of the emotional outpouring and tributes, a consensus arose: in retrospect, there was no greater metal band during the early to mid-'90s than Pantera, who inspired a legion of rabid fans and whose oft-termed & quot;groove metal & quot; style bucked all prevailing trends of the day -- from hair metal and grunge to nu-metal and rap-metal -- and remains singular to this day, as defined by the vocals o fAnselmo as it is by the guitar of Dimebag. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 20th Anniversary Edition & lt;br & gt; • 180g vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Previously unreleased alternate versions & lt;br & gt; • Includes early mixes, live & amp; instrumental versions of each original track & lt;br & gt; • Brand new mix of & quot;The Great Southern Trendkill & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side 1: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Doors London Fog 1966 Numbered Limited Edition 10" Vinyl & CD Box Set
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;50th Anniversary Collector's Numbered Limited Edition 10 & quot; Vinyl & amp; CD Box Set! & lt;br & gt; Recently Discovered Live Recordings, the earliest known to exist, available for the First Time! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Before The Doors took the music scene by storm in 1967, they were the house band at the London Fog, a Sunset Strip dive bar located just footsteps away from the world famous Whisky a Go Go, the future home of many of the band’s most legendary performances. The Doors have opened a virtual time capsule with London Fog 1966, a Collector’s Numbered Limited Edition box set that features unearthed audio recorded at the club in May 1966. Previously unreleased and not even known to exist until recently, this marks the earliest recordings of the band and finds the quartet mixing blues covers with early versions of Doors originals. London Fog 1966 is the first of many special activities and releases coming to celebrate The Doors’ 50th Anniversary in 2017. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; London Fog 1966 is available as an individually numbered limited edition of 18,000 copies while supplies last. Presented in a lift-top package designed to look like a vintage storage box, the set features seven songs on both CD and a 10-inch record that’s made to resemble a test pressing. Noted Doors engineer Bruce Botnick recently mastered the audio for this collection. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Along with the unreleased music, the set is packed with memorabilia and historic liner notes to provide a true time capsule of that fabled night at the London Fog, including a postcard, the set list handwritten by John Densmore, a program for the Royce Hall UCLA student film screening, plus a London Fog coaster. There are also liner notes included from Sunset Strip legend Ronnie Haran-Mellen, who was the talent booker at the Whisky a Go Go. Haran-Mellen saw The Doors live for the first time at the London Fog and then booked them as the permanent house band at the Whisky, leading to the band’s signing to Elektra and meteoric rise to superstardom. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Also contributing liner notes is Nettie Pena, one of the lucky few to be in attendance at the London Fog for this fabled show. Pena was a pivotal force in this release coming together as she captured the audio on a 1/4” reel to reel recorder. Pena also photographed the band that evening and five black and white 8x10 reprints of these unpublished photos are included in the Collector’s Edition, featuring a fresh-faced Morrison on a cramped stage with John Densmore, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The show featured on London Fog 1966 took place the same year that The Doors recorded their eponymous debut. Released in January 1967, the album would become one of the most influential in rock history. Like many of the band’s early concerts, the show captured on this deluxe set reflects the group’s deep love for the blues with covers of standards like Muddy Waters’ “Rock Me” and “I’m Your Hoochie Coochie Man.” The set also includes raw performances of “Baby, Please Don’t Go” (Big Joe Williams), “Don’t Fight It” (Wilson Pickett), and “Lucille” (Little Richard). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; During their residency at the London Fog, The Doors frequently worked out new songs on stage that would eventually appear on various studio albums. At this show, the band played two originals. The first, “Strange Days,” would become the title track for the band’s second studio album, which also came out in 1967. This is one of the only known live recordings of this track. The other Doors original, “You Make Me Real,” wasn’t officially released on a studio album until Morrison Hotel in 1970. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; “To hear ‘Strange Days,’ that came out on their second album, in almost final shape so early on was truly amazing,” says Jac Holzman, the President of Elektra Records who signed The Doors to their first recording contract. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; London Fog 1966 is released in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Doors in 2017. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 10 & quot; Vinyl & amp; CD & lt;br & gt; • 50th Anniversary Collector's Numbered Limited Edition Box Set & lt;br & gt; • Previously unreleased material & lt;br & gt; • Five Black & amp; White 8 & quot;x10 & quot; Prints of Unseen Photos & lt;br & gt; • Handwritten Set List by John Densmore & lt;br & gt; • New essays form people that attended the show & lt;br & gt; • Postcard, Program & amp; Coaster & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; 10 & quot; Vinyl: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The essence of punk years before the genre existed, The Stooges' furious music was a howling, visceral, fuzztone-drenched, and unprecedented vortex of sound, as evidenced on their revolutionary self-titled, John Cale-produced 1969 debut album. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Of the million-plus bands inspired by The Stooges later, the ones who were most successful realized that simplicity, volume, repetition and primitivism could be a shortcut to transcendence, but that it takes brains to get it just right. They were formed in 1970 in and around Houston from rival bands the Moving Sidewalks (Gibbons) and American Blues (Hill and Beard). Their first two albums reflected the strong blues roots and Texas humor of the band. Their third album (Tres Hombres) gained them national attention with the hit & quot;La Grange, & quot; a signature riff tune to this day, based on John Lee Hooker's & quot;Boogie Chillen. & quot; Their success continued unabated throughout the '70s, culminating with the year-and-a-half-long Worldwide Texas Tour. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Exhausted from the overwhelming workload, they took a three-year break, then switched labels and returned to form with Deguello and El Loco, both harbingers of what was to come. By their next album, Eliminator, and its worldwide smash follow-up, Afterburner, they had successfully harnessed the potential of synthesizers to their patented grungy blues groove, giving their material a more contemporary edge while retaining their patented Texas style. Now sporting long beards, golf hats, and boiler suits, they met the emerging video age head-on, reducing their & quot;message & quot; to simple iconography. Becoming even more popular in the long run, they moved with the times while simultaneously bucking every trend that crossed their path. As genuine roots musicians, they have few peers; Gibbons is one of America's finest blues guitarists working in the arena rock idiom -- both influenced by the originators of the form and British blues-rock guitarists like Peter Green -- while Hill and Beard provide the ultimate rhythm section support. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Pure Americana: This song cycle about burning rubber, high heels and adrenaline took fuzzed-out Texas blues guitar and lashed it around rollicking boogie. ZZ Top's megaplatinum album also had a high-gloss Eighties sheen and singles like 'Sharp Dressed Man' that would help it sell some 10 million copies. & quot; & lt;/b & gt;- Rolling Stone & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Red Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Billy Gibbons, guitar, vocals & lt;br & gt; Dusty Hill, bass, vocals & lt;br & gt; Frank Beard, drums & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; This Double LP album features acoustic versions of their best known tracks including & quot;Love Song & quot;, & quot;Friday I’m In Love & quot;, & quot;Never Enough & quot;, & quot;Mint Car & quot; and many more. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Cure Mixed Up Half-Speed Mastered 180g 2LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;1990 Remix Album On 180g Vinyl Double LP! & lt;br & gt; Half-Speed Mastered Edition! Remastered by Robert Smith! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The 1990 album, 'Mixed Up', features remixes of some of The Cure's hits. Most of the songs are extended mixes and some were previously released on 12 & quot; singles. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; With the Disintegration album and its accompanying global Prayer Tour, 1989 had delivered a triumphant end to the '80s, but the first year of the '90s found The Cure unexpectedly unsettled. Determined to keep up the momentum of the band's ongoing success, but knowing there were internal tensions to address before heading back into the studio, Robert Smith decided on a different course of action; curating an album of the band's rarer 12 & quot; mixes. As work on Mixed Up progressed, Smith realised that some of The Cure's earlier remixes didn't stand up to the newer ones. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Robert singles out Brian 'Chuck' New's dub style remix of & quot;Pictures Of You & quot; as the one that inspired him to take a more adventurous path. & lt;b & gt; & quot;That mix turned the music on its head, but at the same time left the essential heart of the song intact. As soon as I heard it, I updated the entire Mixed Up plan. My revised ambition was to compile an album that was contemporary without being dated, immediate without being obvious, musically inspiring, rhythmically exciting and sonically great! & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Two tracks on the album, & quot;A Forest & quot; and & quot;The Walk & quot;, were not just remixed but entirely re-recorded, as the multi-track tapes for both songs had long been lost. Both songs were reconstructed in the studio with producer Mark Saunders, using original instruments and gear. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The band convened over five days in June 1990 to record a new track for Mixed Up. After a certain amount of fraught experimenting with beats, loops and sequenced bass lines, Smith decided to change the vibe. A demo entitled PhaseAGE that had previously been deemed 'too rock' was committed to tape as & quot;Never Enough & quot; and was released as a single in September 1990. The Closer Mix of & quot;Close To Me & quot; soon followed this and both songs were accompanied by customarily deranged Tim Pope videos. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; With Mixed Up finally released, Smith felt he could at last move on, confident in a re-energized and re-integrated band. & lt;b & gt; & quot;The whole of 1990 was essentially spent emerging from the shadow of Disintegration, and we managed to do it in a creatively satisfying way; by the end of the year, I couldn't wait to start work on new songs for the next record & quot;. & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Double LP & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Half-speed mastered by Robert Smith and Tim Young at Metropolis Studios, London & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Gatefold sleeve & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Jackson Browne Running On Empty LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Classic Album Remastered On Vinyl LP! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; New remastering of Jackson Browne's classic album, Running On Empty, featuring 10 live performances recorded in 1977 between August 17 and September 18 by Browne and his band: guitarist Danny Kortchmar; David Lindley on fiddle and lap steel guitar; keyboardist Craig Doerge; bassist Leland Sklar; drummer Russ Kunkel; and background vocalists Doug Haywood and Rosemary Butler. Together, they recorded these songs in natural settings, such as a Holiday Inn hotel room, a backstage rehearsal space, on a tour bus, and on stage. It is unusual among live albums in that none of the tracks had ever appeared on a previous studio album. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Released in 1977, the album reached #3 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart in 1978 and stayed on the charts for 65 weeks. The single for the title track, & quot;Running On Empty & quot;, peaked at #11 and the follow-up single, & quot;The Load-Out & quot;/ & quot;Stay & quot;, reached #20 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart. The album received two Grammy Award nominations in 1979: one for Album of the Year and the other for Pop Male Vocal Performance for the song & quot;Running On Empty & quot;. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Jackson Browne, vocals, guitar, piano & lt;br & gt; David Lindley, fiddle, lap steel & lt;br & gt; Russel Kunkel, drums & lt;br & gt; Leland Sklar, bass & lt;br & gt; Craig Doerge, keyboards & lt;br & gt; Danny Kortchmar, guitars & lt;br & gt; Doug Haywood, vocals & lt;br & gt; Rosemary Butler, vocals & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Numbered, Limited Edition! & lt;br & gt; 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition 3CD & amp; 180g Vinyl LP Set! & lt;br & gt; Remastered by Bruce Botnick! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;TAS Rated 3.5/5 Music, 4/5 Sonics in the May/June 2020 Issue of The Absolute Sound! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;One Of TAS' Ten Best Rock Albums of 2020! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; Newly expanded 3CD/1LP set that includes the original studio album – and the B-side “Who Scared You” – newly remastered by Bruce Botnick, The Doors’ longtime engineer and mixer. The collection is a limited edition of individually numbered copies and also includes the original album on 180-gram vinyl along with liner notes by noted rock journalist David Fricke. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The core of the collection is comprised of more than a dozen unreleased songs. Among the highlights are stripped down “Doors Only” versions of five tracks where the horns and strings have been removed (“Tell All The People,” “Touch Me,” “Wishful Sinful,” “Runnin’ Blue,” and “Who Scared You.”) The set also features three of those stripped-back versions with new guitar parts added by Robby Krieger (“Touch Me,” “Wishful Sinful,” and “Runnin’ Blue). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The collection also uncovers three songs from studio rehearsals – with Ray Manzarek (a.k.a. Screamin’ Ray Daniels) on vocals – that include an early version of “Roadhouse Blues,” a song that would be released the following year on Morrison Hotel. These three songs include newly recorded bass parts by Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots, who joined Krieger and John Densmore at a tribute concert for Manzarek in 2016, three years after the organist died of cancer. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; A trio of studio outtakes collected on the set’s final disc feature the much-bootlegged, hour-long jam, “Rock Is Dead,” which appears here in its entire, surviving form for the first time ever. The track finds The Doors riffing through the entire history of rock ’n’ roll, from early delta blues through surf music, ending with the death of rock. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;quote source & quot; & gt; The strings and horns never bothered me, but the remixes do have a gritty charm that spotlights the band's playing. Also featured is an early version of 'Roadhouse Blues,' sung by Manzarek, and the rambling hour-long jam 'Rock Is Dead.' The digital tracks are encoded for MQA-capable players and bring an extra sparkle to the proceedings. Overall, a welcome addition to Rhino's ongoing and reverential reissue series. & lt;footer & gt; -Greg Cahill, The Absolute Sound, May/June 2020, Music 3.5/5, Sonics 4/5 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Numbered, Limited Edition - 15,000 Copies & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;50th Anniversary Edition & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Deluxe Edition & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;3CD & amp; 1LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Remastered by Bruce Botnick & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Nearly 2 hours of unissued recordings & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Unreleased stripped-down & quot;Doors Only & quot; mixes of & quot;Touch Me & quot;, & quot;Wishful Sinful & quot; and & quot;Tell All The People & quot; with strings and horns removed + 2019 guitar overdubs by Robby Krieger & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Debut of the complete, hour-long studio jam & quot;Rock Is Dead & quot; & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Liner notes by David Fricke & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Housed within a hardbound book cover & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;CD 1 - Original Stereo Mix Remastered: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Tell All The People & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Touch Me & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Shaman's Blues & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Do It & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Easy Ride & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wild Child & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Runnin' Blue & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wishful Sinful & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Soft Parade & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Who Scared You (Bonus Track) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;CD 2: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Tell All The People (Doors Only Mix) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Touch Me (Doors Only Mix w/New Robby Krieger Overdub) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Runnin' Blue (Doors Only Mix w/New Robby Krieger Overdub) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wishful Sinful (Doors Only Mix w/New Robby Krieger Overdub) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Who Scared You (Doors Only Mix) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Roadhouse Blues - Screamin' Ray Daniels (a.k.a. The album topped the charts for four weeks and includes their second US #1 single & quot;Hello, I Love You & quot;. The album also contains the single & quot;The Unknown Soldier & quot; which peaked at #39 on the Billboard Hot 100. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; With an intoxicating, genre-blending sound, provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison's poetry and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but on popular culture. The Doors' arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become stone classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Remastered LP & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Produced by Simpson, Sound & amp; Fury was recorded primarily at the McGuire Motor Inn in Waterford, Michigan, with his bandmates Bobby Emmett, Chuck Bartels and Miles Miller, who all serve as co-producers along with GRAMMY nominee John Hill (Cage The Elephant, Portugal.The Man, Bleachers). The album – which Simpson describes as & quot;a sleazy, steamy rock n roll record & quot; – is a marked departure from 2016's acclaimed A Sailor's Guide To Earth, which won & quot;Best Country Album & quot; and was nominated for & quot;Album of the Year & quot; at the 59th GRAMMY Awards. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Merging American rock music and Japanese animation in a revolutionary new way, the accompanying Netflix anime film Sound & amp; Fury was produced and based on a story by Simpson entitled & quot;Sound & amp; Fury & quot;. The film is set entirely to songs from Simpson's Sound & amp; Fury album, with each song on the album having its own segment in the movie. Featuring some of the biggest names in the genre, the film was written and directed by Jumpei Mizusaki, founder of renowned animation studio Kamikaze Douga and director for the animated film & quot;Batman Ninja & quot;, while Takashi Okazaki, creator of Japanese manga series & quot;Afro Samurai & quot;, served as the film's character designer. Additional directors include Koji Morimoto of Phy ( & quot;AKIRA & quot;) / Griot Groove, Michael Arias ( & quot;Tekkonkinkreet & quot;), Masaru Matsumoto of Grayscale Arts ( & quot;Starship Troopers: Traitors of Mars & quot;), Henry Thurlow and Arthell Isom of D'ART Shtajio ( & quot;Indigo Ignited, XOgenaSYS & quot;). It was recorded live at Detroit's Grande Ballroom over two nights, Devil's Night and Halloween, 1968, and released through Elektra Records. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Number 8 on Rolling Stone 50 Greatest Live Albums of All Time! & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; From Brother J.C. Crawford's rabble-rousing introduction to the final wash on feedback on 'Starship,' Kick Out the Jams is one of the most powerfully energetic live albums ever made; Wayne Kramer and Fred 'Sonic' Smith were a lethal combination on tightly interlocked guitars, bassist Michael Davis and drummer Dennis Thompson were as strong a rhythm section as Detroit ever produced, and Rob Tyner's vocals could actually match the soulful firepower of the musicians, no small accomplishment. Even on the relatively subdued numbers (such as the blues workout 'Motor City Is Burning'), the band sound like they're locked in tight and cooking with gas, while the full-blown rockers (pretty much all of side one) are as gloriously thunderous as anything ever committed to tape; this is an album that refuses to be played quietly. For many years, Detroit was considered the High Energy Rock & amp; Roll Capital of the World, and Kick Out the Jams provided all the evidence anyone might need for the city to hold onto the title. & lt;footer & gt; -AllMusic & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Red, White & amp; Blue Splatter Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Cut from the original analog masters & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in the EU & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side One: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Ramblin' Rose & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Kick Out The Jams & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Come Together & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Rocket Reducer No. 62 (Rama Lama Fa Fa Fa) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side Two: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Borderline & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Motor City Is Burning & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I Want You Right Now & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Starship & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

First released in 1972 on Elektra Records, this compilation is among the only 'various artists' titles to consistently wind up on published lists of 'all-time top albums'. Nuggets spawned more than 200 like-minded collections under such titles as Pebbles and Back From The Grave, and is a consistent compilation favourite and has carved out a genre of its own. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Tracks include & quot;I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night & quot; ( & lt;strong & gt;Electric Prunes & lt;/strong & gt;), & quot;Dirty Water & quot; ( & lt;strong & gt;The Standells & lt;/strong & gt;), & quot;Lies & quot; ( & lt;strong & gt;The Knickerbockers & lt;/strong & gt;), & quot;Pushin' Too Hard & quot; ( & lt;strong & gt;The Seeds & lt;/strong & gt;), & quot;Hey Joe & quot; ( & lt;strong & gt;The Leaves & lt;/strong & gt;), & quot;Let's Talk About Girls & quot; ( & lt;strong & gt;Chocolate Watch Band & lt;/strong & gt;) and more. Nuggets remains quite possibly the most influential compilation released during the Rock 'N Roll era. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; Nuggets proved to be of seismic importance in the years after its release, but just as importantly, it's a blast to listen to; Kaye's sequencing gives the album the joyous flow of a great afternoon of AM radio, and the album blends hits both big and small with high-quality obscurities and early efforts by future stars. And while many of the garage compilations that would follow would focus relentlessly on the obscure and the noisy, Kaye's set not only demonstrates that some of this stuff actually made the charts, but that there was as much great pop as snotty proto-punk pouring out of America's rec rooms back in the day. And Kaye's liner notes were nearly as important as the music in defining the importance of this music and its era. Very few 'oldies' compilations have had an influence approaching that of Nuggets, and even fewer are as rewarding to listen to; if you care about rock music in the '60s, you need to own this album. & lt;footer & gt; -Mark Deming, AllMusic, 5/5 Stars & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.stereophile.com & quot; & gt; Musically, this collection is superb. It has been a favortie of rock-genre deep divers since it came out. Streamers miss out on such classics (included here) as the cover of 'Hey Joe' by the Leaves and 'It's-A-Happening' by the Magic Mushrooms, an acid-on-speed romp released on A & amp;M at a time when Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass were the label's main offering. The album was cut, for better or worse, from the analog two-track master by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Soundwise, this version is worse off for using the old tape. The copy I was sent is somewhat ticky, and there's a whoosh-rumble throughout. It sounds like 1972. But lo-fi sound can't keep this great music down; in fact it may enhance it. The cover art and liner notes are great physical artifacts. & lt;footer & gt; -Tom Fine, Stereophile, May 2021 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Cut from the original analog album master & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Intro by Elektra founder Jac Holzman & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Notes by original compiler Lenny Kaye & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in Germany & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Start Your Ear Off Right 2021 & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side One: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) - The Electric Prunes & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Dirty Water - The Standells & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Night Time - The Strangeloves & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lies - The Knickerbockers & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Respect - The Vagrants & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;A Public Execution - Mouse & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;No Time Like The Right Time - The Blues Project & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side Two: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Oh Yeah - The Shadows Of Knight & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Pushin' Too Hard - The Seeds & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Moulty - The Barbarians & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Don't Look Back - The Remains & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;An Invitation To Cry - The Magicians & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Liar, Liar - The Castaways & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;You're Gonna Miss Me - The Thirteenth Floor Elevators & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side Three: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Psychotic Reaction - Count Five & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Hey Joe - The Leaves & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Just Like Romeo And Juliet - Michael & amp; The Messengers & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sugar And Spice - The Cryan Shames & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Baby Please Don't Go - The Amboy Dukes & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Tobacco Road - The Blues Magoos & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side Four: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Let's Talk About Girls - Chocolate Watch Band & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sit Down I Think I Love You - The Mojo Men & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Run Run Run - The Third Rail & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;My World Fell Down - Sagittarius & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Open My Eyes - Nazz & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Farmer John - The Premiers & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;It's-A-Happening - The Magic Mushrooms & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

So, when asked to look back, he is truly moved by how successful and epic the journey has already been, just one album deep into his career on the international stage. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;In just three short years, KALEO has scored a trifecta of global hits, including the churning No. 1 alternative track & quot;Way Down We Go & quot;; received a GRAMMY nomination for the hard-hitting strutter & quot;No Good & quot;; and watched its first album for Atlantic Records, 2016's A/B, go gold. The band has toured the world, from sweaty nightclubs filled with diehard fans to mammoth crowds at Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. KALEO has even played vast stadiums, seducing thousands of Rolling Stones fans with its majestic rock sound, Julius Son's towering, blues-inflected vocals and singular guitar licks. & quot;Everybody else says look how far you've come, & quot; says the singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist-producer of these milestones. & quot;But you've got to walk every small step of the way, so it doesn't feel like you've come that far because there's so many steps. & quot; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Every bit of that lived experience is packed into his next big step: KALEO's latest album Surface Sounds (Elektra/Atlantic). & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;It is a sly title given the layers of meaning that it holds for Julius Son. From the found sounds of the & quot;surface & quot; around him that he interpolated into the songs - from birds singing to the ambient noise of Icelandic waterfalls - to the initial feelings that sparked each track, the 29-year-old sought inspiration in both the tangible world around him and the emotional one within. But there is more to it than that. & quot;It's a take on how much we tend to focus on the surface, & quot; he says in a time where curation of image can feel more important than the depth of true human connection. & quot;There's so much more beneath that. & quot; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;KALEO eagerly dives into that deeper layer for the music on Surface Sounds which offers a spectrum of sounds that take full advantage of Julius Son's powerful pipes. (KALEO means & quot;the voice & quot; in Hawaiian and never has a band been more aptly named.) & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;From the walloping guitar jam & quot;Alter Ego & quot; to the weary-yet-hopeful acoustic gentleness of & quot;My Fair Lady & quot; to the whimsical & quot;Hey Gringo & quot; - which finds Julius Son exploring a playful vibe and the sexy contours of his falsetto - Surface Sounds never repeats itself while still managing to retain a cohesive vibe. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The album's variety of sounds and imagery, from lighthearted to solemn, comes naturally, says Julius Son. & quot;I think that's just me growing up as a musician and as a listener. The songs cry out for a certain sound and then I have to go and serve the song. & quot; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;What he isn't interested in is serving up the meanings behind the tracks, preferring to leave interpretation up to the listener. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; & quot;My favorite thing is that we, as individuals, do interpret music so differently, & quot; he adds. & quot;That's what is so magical: watching how people listen and seeing these songs take on new meanings based on mood or the world around us & quot; In closing, he shares of the overarching concept of Surface Sounds, & quot;I simply hope it makes you feel. If so, that's amazing and goes beyond the surface. & quot; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/0d8RjNKU74I & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/JHTTtC9rcqk & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;45rpm & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;White Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;3 sides of music & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Custom etched design on 4th side & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side 1: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Brother Run Fast & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Break My Baby & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Alter Ego & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side 2: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;4 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;Free The Slave & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Skinny & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Hey Gringo & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;My Fair Lady & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side 3: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;8 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;I Want More & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Backbone & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I Walk On Water & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Into My Mother's Arms & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side 4: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;p & gt;Custom Etching & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;5th Studio Album Reissued On 180g Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Storm Windows is the fifth album by American folk singer and songwriter John Prine, released in 1978. Bruised Orange is regarded as one of Prine's strongest collection of songs and received generally positive reviews when it was released. Writing in Rolling Stone in 1978, Jay Cocks proclaimed that & lt;strong & gt; & quot;Steve Goodman is likely the best and certainly the most congenial producer Prine has ever had & quot; & lt;/strong & gt; and added & lt;strong & gt; & quot;No matter when you play it, Bruised Orange carries the chill of Midwest autumn beyond autobiography...into a kind of personal pop mythology. & quot; & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; Despite some brilliant songs, Prine's followup albums to his stunning debut were uneven until this, his fifth, produced by his friend Steve Goodman. Here, Prine's always finely-tuned sense of absurdity once again collides with his ability to depict pain sympathetically for a whole album, typified by 'That's the Way That the World Goes 'Round,' a neat statement of his philosophy, and 'Sabu Visits the Twin Cities Alone,' perhaps the best depiction ever written of life on the road in the entertainment business. & lt;footer & gt; -William Ruhlmann, AllMusic & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Start Your Ear Off Right 2021 & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Original 1978 packaging with full lyrics & amp; photos & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in the EU & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side One: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Fish And Whistle & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;There She Goes & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;If You Don't Want My Love & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;That's the Way That The World Goes 'Round & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Bruised Orange (Chain Of Sorrow) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side Two: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sabu Visits The Twin Cities Alone & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Aw Heck & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Crooked Piece Of Time & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Iron Ore Betty & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Hobo Song & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

The concert also includes a raucous performance of & quot;Funk #49, & quot; a song originally recorded by Walsh's James Gang. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;First Time on Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Live from the Los Angeles Forum October 20-22, 1976 & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;3 sides of audio & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Side-D Etching & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in Germany & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Take It Easy & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Take It To The Limit & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;New Kid In Town & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;James Dean & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Good Day In Hell & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Witchy Woman & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Funk #49 & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side C: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;One Of These Nights & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Hotel California & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Already Gone & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side D: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;p & gt;Etching & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Backing harmony vocals are provided by Dan Fogelberg, Don Henley, J.D. Souther and more. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Jackson Browne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by his friend Bruce Springsteen. Known for popular songs such as & quot;Somebody's Baby & quot; and & quot;The Pretender, & quot; Jackson has a strong political and personal influence reflected in his music. He received the Courage of Conscience Awards from The Peace Abbey in Sherborn, Massachusetts for promoting peace and justice through his music. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;On his dark third album, Browne explored, in the words of one Rolling Stone reviewer, the 'romantic possibility in the shadow of an apocalypse.' There's an undercurrent of dread on Late for the Sky, from 'Before the Deluge' to 'For a Dancer' – not to mention a lot of obvious songwriting genius. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Rolling Stone, 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, Rated 375/500 & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Cure Three Imaginary Boys 180g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;b & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;1979 Debut Album Reissued On 180g Vinyl LP! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Remastered By Robert Smith! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Includes Cover Of Jimi Hendrix's & quot;Foxy Lady! & quot; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The undisputed leaders of the early gothic scene, and a seminal band that contributed to the rise of British post-punk, the Cure recorded their debut album Three Imaginary Boys at London’s Morgan Studios and released it on May 8, 1979. After touring for almost all of 1977, the band changed their name to The Cure and rearranged their line-up giving birth to an unusual power trio. This line-up lasted only for their first album, making it unique in its essentially minimal sound. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Out of all the bands that emerged in the immediate aftermath of punk rock in the late '70s, few were as enduring and popular as the Cure. Led through numerous incarnations by guitarist/vocalist Robert Smith (born April 21, 1959), the band became notorious for its slow, gloomy dirges and Smith's ghoulish appearance, a public image that often hid the diversity of the Cure's music. At the outset, the Cure played jagged, edgy pop songs before slowly evolving into a more textured outfit. As one of the bands that laid the seeds for goth rock, the group created towering layers of guitars and synthesizers, but by the time goth caught on in the mid-'80s, the Cure had moved away from the genre. By the end of the '80s, the band had crossed over into the mainstream not only in its native England, but also in the United States and in various parts of Europe. The Cure remained a popular concert draw and reliable record-seller throughout the '90s, and their influence could be heard clearly on scores of new bands during the new millennium, including many that had little to do with Goth. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Maybe it was youthful exuberance or perhaps it was the fact that the band itself was not pulling all the strings, Three Imaginary Boys is not only a very strong debut, but a near oddity (it's an admittedly 'catchy' record) in the Cure catalog. More poppy and representative of the times than any other album during their long career, Three Imaginary Boys is a semi-detached bit of late-'70s English pop-punk. Angular and lyrically abstract, its strong points are in its utter simplicity. There are no dirges here, no long suites, just short bursts of energy and a rather strange cover of Hendrix's 'Foxy Lady.' For some, this is the last good Cure record, many fans of this album being in no way prepared for the sparse emptiness and gloom that would be the cornerstone of future releases. For the most die-hard Cure-head, however, it's an interesting sidenote, hard to place in the general flow of the band's discography. Cure leader Robert Smith has voiced many times over his mixed feelings about the record, most notably the cover art (the three & quot;representative & quot; appliances on the cover, the lack of a real track listing -- all the songs are represented with arty type pictures -- and in no real order) and the production, which at times is admittedly a little muddy, but even that lends it a certain youthful charm. What the Cure would do next wasn't entirely obvious to the listener of this album, but there are some definite hints. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Chris True, allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl reissue & lt;br & gt; • Remastered By Robert Smith & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. 10:15 Saturday Night & lt;br & gt; 2. The Doors' arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become stone classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. They released six studio albums in all, as well as a live album and a compilation, before Morrison's death in 1971. Their electrifying achievements in the studio and onstage were unmatched in the annals of rock. In the decades since The Doors' heyday, the foursome has loomed ever larger in the pantheon of rock - and they remain a touchstone of insurrectionary culture for writers, activists, visual artists and other creative communities. & lt;br & gt; But after spending 18 months trying to distill everything she'd written about love—and the lack of it—down to a single disc, Mitchell abandoned the ballet. & lt;b & gt; & quot;I wanted the music to feel like a total work—a new work. No matter what I did, though, at that length, it remained merely a collection of songs, & quot; & lt;/b & gt; she wrote in the liner notes to the set. Undaunted, Mitchell did not give up. Instead, she continued to sequence her songs, determined to prove to herself that what she was after was possible. After two years, she had created a four-act ballet based on the 53 songs that make up this inspiring collection. & lt;b & gt; & quot;I am a painter who writes songs. My songs are very visual. The words create scenes… What I have done here is to gather some of these scenes (like a documentary filmmaker) and by juxtaposition, edit them into a whole new work, & quot; & lt;/b & gt; she explains. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; LOVE HAS MANY FACES makes its vinyl debut on November 2, 2018. Limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies, the set is presented in a hard-bound deluxe folio package. It includes 53 songs on eight 180-gram LPs. Etchings of Mitchell's artwork are featured on four individual album sides, each one signifying the end of an act in the ballet. It truly is an artist-curated collection. Mitchell selected the material from 40 years of recording. She designed the package, which includes a book containing 53 lyrical poems, six paintings, and an autobiographical text illuminating her recording process. It is funny, mystical, and informative. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Mitchell organized the music into different thematic acts, which allowed her songs to interact with one another in a whole new way. The process, she says, was a lot like making a film. & lt;b & gt; & quot;I had forty years of footage to review. Then, suddenly, scenes began to hook up. Then series began to form. Instead of it being an emotional roller coaster ride as it was before—crammed into one disc—themes began to develop. Moods sustained. I was getting there…When this long editorial process (two years) finally came to rest, I had four ballets or a four-act ballet—a quartet. I also had a box set. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Longtime listeners should find the music familiar but fresh. Newcomers have an adventure before them—a journey into highly-original, harmonically innovative, unusually rhythmic music. Some of the greatest musicians in the world are gathered here—supporting this emotionally charged exploration of love's many faces. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;This compilation leans slightly toward her 80s-and-later work (about half her studio discography) and includes reinterpretations of earlier material, which suggests that, looking back, the older and wiser Joni wins out. Note, however, that the final act offers, in Joni's words, & quot;a warm and friendly ending & quot;. Joni fans have long been blessed with good sound, including three albums on the TAS Super LP list. The LHMF platters boast clean, open sonics with plenty of air, detail, and bloom. For someone who sings so beautifully, that's only fair. & quot; & lt;/b & gt;- Jeff Wilson, & lt;i & gt;The Absolute Sound & lt;/i & gt;, May/June 2019 & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Individually Numbered Limited Edition of 5000 & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 8LP Box Set & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; First time on vinyl & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Hard-bound deluxe folio package & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 53 songs on 8 LPs & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 4 sides feature etchings of Joni Mitchell's artwork & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Book containing 53 lyrical poems, 6 paintings and an autobiographical text illuminating Mitchell's recording process & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Act 1: Birth Of Rock 'N' Roll Days & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. & lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Newly Remastered 180g Vinyl LP! & lt;br & gt; Includes Original 8-Page Illustrated Libretto! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;This album was released seven years after lead singer Jim Morrison died and five years after the remaining members of the band broke up. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; The surviving members reunited and recorded backing tracks over Morrison's poetry (originally recorded in 1969 and 1970). Other pieces of music and spoken word recorded by the Doors and Morrison were also used in the audio collage, such as dialogue from Morrison's film HWY: An American Pastoral and snippets from jam sessions. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; The album also includes a composite live version of & quot;Roadhouse Blues & quot;, splicing together performances at New York City's Felt Forum and Detroit's Cobo Hall, both captured during the Doors' 1970 Roadhouse Blues Tour. This version of the song later appeared on the In Concert compilation. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; Moody and mesmerizing...Jim Morrison reading his poetry over The Doors' music & lt;footer & gt; -AllMusic & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Newly remastered & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Painstakingly recreated artwork & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Original gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Original 8-page illustrated libretto & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in the EU & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;musicians & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Musicians & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;table & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Jim Morrison & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;vocals, spoken words & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Robby Krieger & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;guitar & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Ray Manzarek & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;keyboards & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;John Densmore & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;drums & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;/table & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side 1: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Awake & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Awake & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Ghost Song & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Dawn's Highway / New-Born Awakening & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;To Come Of Age & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start= & quot;4 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;To Come Of Age & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Black Polished Chrome / Latino Chrome & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Angels And Sailors / Stoned Immaculate & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;The Poet's Dreams & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start= & quot;7 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Movie & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Curses, Invocations & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side 2: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;World On Fire & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;American Night & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Roadhouse Blues & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lament & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Hitchhiker & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;An American Prayer & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start= & quot;5 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;An American Prayer & lt;br & gt; The End & lt;br & gt; Albinoni: Adagio & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Best-Of Collection on Remastered 3LP! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; With roots in the Los Angeles country and folk-rock scenes, Linda Ronstadt became one of the most popular interpretive singers of the '70s, earning a string of platinum-selling albums and Top 40 singles. Throughout the '70s, her laid-back pop never lost sight of her folky roots, yet as she moved into the '80s, she began to change her sound with the times, adding new wave influences. After a brief flirtation with pre-rock pop, Ronstadt settled into a pattern of adult contemporary pop and Latin albums, sustaining her popularity in both fields. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; A collection featuring some of Ms. Ronstadt's most memorable moments on her own songs...or, you know, if you want to be a little less flowery, you could just say that we're releasing a new Linda Ronstadt best-of collection. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Just One Look is a 3LP set featuring material culled from her first big commercial breakthrough - her cover of Michael Nesmith's & quot;Different Drum & quot; - all the way through to her 1993 album Winter Light. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; While this is not an 'all-encompassing' best-of collection, it does include many of her most recognized hits including & quot;You're No Good & quot;, & quot;Blue Bayou & quot;, & quot;Poor Poor Pitiful Me & quot;, & quot;It's So Easy & quot;, and the list goes on and on (and we can't forget to mention & quot;Just One Look & quot;). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl 3LP & lt;br & gt; • 2015 remastered & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;LP 1 & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1.
