Pepe Romero Flamenco 180g Direct Metal Master Import 2LP (Vinyl)
& lt;b & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;Audiophile 180g Vinyl Direct Metal Master Double LP! & lt;br & gt; Pressed at Pallas in Germany! & lt;br & gt; Mastered from the Original Masters of Universal Music! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Guitarist Pepe Romero is joined by vocalist Chano Lobato as well as the dancers Maria Magdalena and Paco Romero providing percussive sounds of the dance itself bringing another dimension to the music. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;A strictly traditional flamenco record, Pepe Romero's 1987 recording Flamenco! features not only his own sterling guitar work, but also singer Chano Lobato's expressive vocals and, in an inspired touch that not enough flamenco artists have thought of, two genuine flamenco dancers, Maria Magdalena and Paco Romero. Flamenco, after all, is dance music, and as in some forms of English contra dancing, Appalachian clog dancing, and other forms of folk music, the percussive sound of the dancers' shoes (and the female dancer's traditional castanets) is intended as part of the music. As a result, Flamenco! has a vitality and excitement often missing from classical flamenco records, which can sometimes come off as a bit stuffy and overly serious. Lobato's voice, a dusky alto with a beautifully controlled vibrato, suits the material perfectly, capturing the florid theatricality of flamenco music without going over the top. There are undoubtedly better flamenco records than this, but there are few that are as much fun. & quot; & lt;/b & gt;- allmusicguide & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; • Audiophile 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Audiophile analogue direct metal mastering by Hans-Jorg Mauksch & lt;br & gt; • Cutting to copperplate at Pauler Acoustics & lt;br & gt; • Pressed at Pallas GmbH Germany & lt;br & gt; • Mastered from the Original Masters of Universal Music & lt;br & gt; • Analogphonic Release & lt;br & gt; • Very first 2LP set release for enhanced sound reproduction & lt;br & gt; • Import & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold Jacket & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Pepe Romero, guitar & lt;br & gt; Chano Lobato, vocals & lt;br & gt; Maria Magdalena, dancer & lt;br & gt; Paco Romero, dancer & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. This truly is a no-expenses-spared project, resulting in the ultimate version of this title. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In what some consider his last great album prior to his tragic passing, Nat & quot;King & quot; Cole approached the dramatic dark side of love in the spirit of Sinatra's saloon songs to timeless, haunting effect with the album Where Did Everyone Go? The distinctive orchestrations of Gordon Jenkins for strings accompany the intimately expressive and supremely musical voice of the incomparable Nat & quot;King & quot; Cole in such classic songs as & quot;Someone To Tell It To, & quot; & quot;I Keep Going Back To Joe's, & quot; & quot;Spring Is Here, & quot; & quot; The End Of A Love Affair & quot; and other reflections of one who had and now has not. Nat & quot;King & quot; Cole and arranger Gordon Jenkins followed their hit albums Love Is The Thing and The Very Thought Of You with this striking shift toward the dramatic. The result again stands among its era's finest, most stylistically defining recordings of popular music and still retains its grand sense of tragedy and beauty. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Using the original first generation 3-track session tapes from Capitol's vaults and all-analogue systems including custom headstacks, 3-track preview heads, console and monitoring chain installed at AcousTech specially for these releases, mastering engineers Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman realize the stunning beauty of these recordings. Two bonus tracks recorded for the album, & quot;A Farewell to Arms & quot; and & quot;Happy New Year, & quot; are included in this double 45-RPM 180-gram album set for their first release in original production quality. Included with this deluxe reissue is a striking six-panel booklet complete with rare photos, a 3,200-word essay by Chris Hall on the album and a 1,200-word essay by Michael Fremer about the remastering process. This truly is a no-expenses-spared project, resulting in the ultimate version of this title and a historic reissue. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Originally released in 1963. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;[P]erfect sound quality, breathtaking arrangements, tasteful material and that voice. Talk about up to audiophile standards! The immediacy, the dynamics - slam and delicacy alike - are just so startlingly real. There's nothing lost. It's positively lifelike. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Cutting engineer Kevin Gray, using Blue Heaven's Neumann VMS 70 lathe with an Ortofon cutter head and amplifiers, and recording engineer Katsu Naito have made available for your playback the closest thing possible to a live, in-person performance. With direct-to-disc recording, the signal from the microphone is transmitted directly to the cutter head, which then cuts the grooves into a raw lacquer. There's no middleman. No tape. No tape hiss. No distortion or other artifacts inherent in any other type of recording. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; And the music? It's killer! The session was recorded the weekend of the 12th annual Blues Masters at the Crossroads in October 2009. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Handy was born and raised as the oldest of seven children in St. Martinville, Louisiana, the parish seat of St. Martin Parish and right on the Bayou Teche. It's a rural town about 15 miles southeast of Lafayette and is generally considered the heart of the Creole and Cajun melting pot that makes this specific sub-region unique to anywhere else in the world. It's from right here that so much of the culture - the food, music, swamp life - that people associate with Louisiana comes. Like with many people from St. Martinville, Handy's heritage is Creole, meaning it's tangled. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Handy's earliest musical inspiration came from his father, who had an old accordion that he toyed with as nothing more than a pastime, and some cousins who were & quot;fooling around & quot; with music. & quot;I saw that, and I wanted to take it and be better, & quot; Handy says. & quot; The first thing I picked up was a guitar. And I took it from there. & quot; His first professional gig came on bass in a cousin's band. From there it was back to guitar and eventually accordion as a bandleader. In between, he played in the bands of Rockin' Dopsie for many years as well as in the very first incarnation of Buckwheat Zydeco just after Buckwheat had left Clifton Chenier. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; While he'd recorded previously as a bandleader, Handy's 2008 APO Records release Zydeco Feeling marked his first widely distributed release in 25 years. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Major Handy is one of Zydeco’s younger, more active performers, born in the heart of the Louisiana region that gave birth to the sound, and a veteran who played with Rockin’ Dopsie. Chad Kassem’s crew has captured the swing and the feel of the genre, while showcasing an instrument that’s key to Zydeco but hardly an audiophile staple: the accordion. This six-track set is as undiluted as it gets, and it just might make you a convert. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Ken Kessler, Hi-Fi News, Sound Quality Rating: 87% & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Direct To Disc (D2D) & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Wild Child Butler Sho' 'Nuff 180g 45rpm 2LP (Vinyl)
This item not eligible for any further discount offers!Standing on the stage like a tall barrel of beer, the stout and sturdy Wild Child Butler tapped his right foot, swung his hips and authoritatively snapped his fingers. Some musicians keep time subtly. Wild Child does it more obviously than a metronome. With everything, in fact, Wild Child shows his true colors without prompt. That same cold, October night, he alternated between blowing a furious blues harp and singing with such emotion that his face would give the meaning of each song to even the deaf. And he was wearing a green suit and looking good, without doubt - a sign of how unique this man is. As traditional as the blues on this album are, there’s no mistaking a Wild Child tune. They can’t be played this way by anyone else - not so boisterous, not so Wild Child. Perhaps it’s the syncopation. The way Wild Child punches certain syllables with either his harp or voice. His blues sometimes sound angry and raw, other times soft and country-polished. "They’ve always called mine the swamp sound," Wild Child said. "It’s not too fast and not too slow. They calls it snapping blues. Everything is snappy. I was told from Willie Dixon that I had a way-out strange voice. He said he could hear it between Howlin’ Wolf and Lightnin’ Hopkins. He said ain’t nothing been around like that." Here’s a man whose been heavily praised by Dixon, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Jimmy Rogers just to name a few; a man who those blues legends were proud to accompany. He’s joined by drummer Sam Lay, one of Wild Child’s old running mates, and guitarist Jimmy D. Lane, the son of Rogers, one of Wild Child’s closest friends. Bob Stroger, also from the old school, plays bass, and APO heavyweight Jimmie Lee Robinson sits in on acoustic guitar on "You Had Quit Me." Wild Child said the session brought back memories of his tours with Rogers and Lay. Just substitute Jimmy's. "It’s Little Jimmy and Big Jimmy," Wild Child said of Rogers and his son Lane. "His father was Big Jimmy. The son is a big man, but I call him Little Jimmy. That boy kind of came up under me. I think he’s scared I’m gonna give him a spanking if he do wrong." This release offers a fine mix of Wild Child’s down-home, acoustic sound, his slow, muscular blues and his up-tempo shuffle or "snapping blues." As Wild Child himself said, "If you can’t dig these blues, you got a hole in your soul. "Talkin’ bout sho’ ‘nuff." Selections: Side One: Open Up Baby, You Had To Quit Me; Side Two: I Got To Go (Sweet Daddy-O), Can You Use A Man Like Me?; Side Three: Moaning Morning, Slippin' In, Funky Things; Side Four: It's All Over, I Changed.

The session was recorded the weekend of the 12th annual Blues Masters at the Crossroads in October 2009. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Singer Howard Tate cracked the R & amp;B Top 20 three times in the late 1960s, left music and endured hardship and anonymity for nearly 30 years and beginning in the early 2000s returned to his rightful place as one of America's most revered soul performers. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In the mid-'60s, Garnet Mimms urged producer Jerry Ragovoy to check out Tate, and from 1966 to 1969 Tate and Ragovoy recorded about 10 singles, the first for the Utopia label, the rest for Verve. & quot;Ain't Nobody Home & quot; (1966), & quot;Look At Granny Run Run & quot; (1966) and & quot;Stop & quot; (1967), all written or co-written by Ragovoy, each charted R & amp;B Top 20. But to rock audiences, Tate was best known as the original performer of & quot;Get It While You Can, & quot; which became one of Janis Joplin's signature tunes. Tate's debut album, Get It While You Can, was released in 1966 to tremendous acclaim. Rolling Stone called the album & quot;a spectacular showcase of suave, muscular good-powered singing, heavily influenced by Sam Cooke, with a joyous, shrieking falsetto that became Tate's trademark. & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Music luminaries have recognized and celebrated Tate's trademark voice throughout the years, with Elvis Costello calling him & quot;the missing link between Jackie Wilson and Al Green. & quot; Among the well-known musicians that have covered songs originally recorded by Tate are Joplin ( & quot;Get It While You Can & quot;), Jimi Hendrix ( & quot;Stop & quot;), Hugh Masekela ( & quot;Stop & quot;), B.B. King ( & quot;Ain't Nobody Home & quot;), Ry Cooder ( & quot;Look At Granny Run Run & quot;) and Grand Funk Railroad ( & quot;Look At Granny Run Run & quot;). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Chad Kassem’s efforts have resulted in a delicious live session... Tate reaches down to the soles of his shoes to deliver exquisite takes of two trademark songs from his classic Verve LP, ‘Look At Granny Run Run’ and ‘Ain’t Nobody Home’, plus four others. The backing band is note-perfect for the session, the sound bordering on the cavernous. Best of all, over 40 years after his debut, the voice is intact. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Ken Kessler, Hi-Fi News, Sound Quality Rating: 95% & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Direct To Disc (D2D) & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Bizet Carmen & L'Arlesienne 180g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;180 Gram Virgin Vinyl! High Quality Pressing! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The 19th century suites with their collection of favorite songs and instrumental excerpts from operas are the clear forerunners of today's & quot;Best Of & quot; culture. The Carmen Suite was assembled after Bizet's death and brought the operatic masterpiece into the concert hall. The overture is fresh and rousing, the toreador theme marches in proudly and purposefully, followed by the destiny motif in the minor key which burns itself into ones ear and mind. With every bar it becomes obvious that this suite is not so much a series of excerpts but rather the true substance of its creator's musical ideas. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; All that remained of the five-act play L'Arlesienne after its unsuccessful premiere was Bizet's incidental music, which he himself orchestrated lavishly and premiered with success. Similar to Carmen, popular melodies are treated with the composer's own unique style to make them ageless, and Ernest Ansermet and his orchestra stages them delightfully for all eternity. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Ernest Ansermet is the most famous of Switzerland's conductors. For some years Professor of Mathematics at Lausanne University, he left this post to devote himself to music, studying composition under Ernest Bloch. He eventually concentrated on conducting and from 1915 - when he was already a personal friend of Stravinsky - was intermittently engaged with the Diaghilev Ballet. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Virgin Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • High Quality Pressing & lt;br & gt; • Pure Analogue Audiophile Mastering & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Orchestra de la Suisse Romande & lt;br & gt; Ernest Ansermet, conductor & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Georges Bizet (1838 - 1875) & lt;br & gt; Carmen Suite & lt;br & gt; Side One: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. This guy has original after original after original — all killer songs. Four volumes (APLPD2D012, APLPD2D013, APLPD2D014, APLPD2D015) feels more like scratching the surface than scraping the bottom of the barrel. Dyer is most definitely prolific. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; And talented...unbelievably talented. His voice conjures thoughts of Al Green, Stevie Wonder or Sly Stone. His songwriting is deeply introspective and serious. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Dyer adds guitar and keyboards to his singing and is joined on these recordings by drums and backing vocals (Michael Hale) along with bass alternating with cello (Mark Williams). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Previous to his APO direct-to-disc recordings, Dyer’s released records for Fat Caddy Records and for a Lenny Kravitz-run Warner Bros. imprint called Roxie Records. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • From 2010 Direct To Disc Sessions & lt;br & gt; • 200g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Pressed at Quality Record Pressings & lt;br & gt; • Recorded at Blue Heaven Studios & lt;br & gt; • Cut by Kevin Gray & lt;br & gt; • Engineered by Katsu Naito & lt;br & gt; • Companion disc to APLPD2D012, APLPD2D013, & amp; APLPD2D015 & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Sufjan Stevens Carrie & Lowell LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Vinyl LP Marks a Return to Stevens' Earlier Works! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Carrie & amp; Lowell is the seventh studio album by American musician Sufjan Stevens, released through Asthmatic Kitty on March 31, 2015. Unlike Stevens' last studio album, the electronic The Age of Adz, Carrie & amp; Lowell is sparsely instrumental and marks a return to the performer's indie folk roots. The album was released to high critical acclaim, with many critics calling it one of Stevens' best. Sufjan Stevens mixes autobiography, religious fantasy, and regional history to create folk songs of grand proportions. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Carrie & amp; Lowell sounds like memory: it spans decades yet does not trade on pastiche or nostalgia. Sufjan recounts the indignities of our world, of technological distraction and sad sex, of an age without neither myths nor miracle - and this time around, his voice carries the burden of wisdom. Carrie & amp; Lowell accomplishes the rare thing that any art should achieve, particularly in these noisy and fragmented days: By seeking to understand, Sufjan makes us feel less alone. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Carrie & amp; Lowell is the most harrowingly personal work Stevens has offered us to date; it also ranks with his most skillfully crafted albums despite its spartan approach, and it's a sometimes difficult but profoundly moving work. Stevens has offered us some fine albums in the past, but he's never made anything quite like Carrie & amp; Lowell. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; -Mark Deming, allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. John Fahey Days Have Gone By 180g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;180g High Quality Vinyl! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Days Have Gone By continues Fahey's interest in soundscapes, sound effects and experimental music - begun on The Great San Bernardino Birthday Party & amp; Other Excursions - mixed in with more traditional guitar playing of his earlier musical style. Originally released in 1967. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;...Informally known as John Fahey, Volume 6, it’s an album very much in the experimental vein that he first started tapping in the early 1960s. Placed alongside such rustic, straight picking fare as “The Revolt of the Dyke Brigade” and “Joe Kirby Blues” are pieces that make early use of splicing and sampling. Mixing in the sounds of locomotives and whippoorwills the two-part “A Raga Called Pat” is at once eerie and meditative. Fahey’s strummed passages intersperse with ambient effects creating the illusion of wild wide-open spaces. Tunes like the somber and centering “My Shepherd Will Supply My Needs” are tempered with streaks of hopeful lyricism. A contemplative air of the artist in his element taking sonic paint and to easel permeates each piece and the resulting whole ranks with Fahey’s other masterpieces of the period such as Death Chants, Breakdowns and Military Waltzes and The Voice of the Turtle. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - allaboutjazz.com, Derek Taylor, October 2001 & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The immediacy, the dynamics - slam and delicacy alike - are just so startlingly real. There's nothing lost. It's positively lifelike. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Roy Head is a kick ass, redneck, rock 'n' roll legend and a real bluesman. He achieved everlasting fame with his gigantic 1965 hit, & quot;Treat Her Right, & quot; which rocketed to No. 2 on both the pop and R & amp;B charts, falling behind only the Beatles' & quot;Yesterday. & quot; & quot;Treat Her Right & quot; — produced by the legendary Huey Meaux and released on Don Robey's Back Beat label — is estimated to have sold more than four million copies and has been covered by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Page. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Born in 1943 in Three Rivers, Texas, Head and his band of buddies, billing themselves as Roy Head and The Traits, scored their first record deal in 1958 with TNT Music in San Antonio while still in high school. The group released five records on TNT between 1958 and 1961. They had several regional hits before & quot;Treat Her Right, & quot; and Head became a talked-about entertainer with dance moves so wild and fancy he began drawing comparisons to James Brown. And he still brings it, gyrating like a man half his age and working his microphone like a yo-yo. Although Head was a white singer, he'd recorded a song in an R & amp;B style and thus became part of the mid-'60s blue-eyed soul movement that also included groups such as the Righteous Brothers and the Boxtops. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; After & quot;Treat Her Right, & quot; Head scored two more Top 40 hits with & quot;Just A Little Bit & quot; and & quot;Apple Of My Eye. & quot; He also landed a number of hits on the country charts between 1974 and 1985. Roy Head and the Traits were induced into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2007. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • From 2011 Direct To Disc Sessions & lt;br & gt; • 200g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Cut by Kevin Gray & lt;br & gt; • Pressed at Quality Record Pressings & lt;br & gt; • Recorded at Blue Heaven Studios & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Mastered by Bob Ludwig! & lt;br & gt; #31 on Billboard's Overall Album Chart! & lt;br & gt; Features the Hit Single, & quot;Ho Hey & quot;!! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In 2011, an eponymous, self-recorded EP led to a tour, and before long The Lumineers started attracting devout fans, first across the Western US, then back in their old East Coast stomping grounds. Young, old and in-between, they’re drawn by songs like & lt;b & gt;“ & lt;/b & gt;Ho Hey & lt;b & gt;” & lt;/b & gt; and “Stubborn Love & lt;b & gt;,” & lt;/b & gt; Americana-inflected barnburners in the vein of the & lt;b & gt;Avett Brothers & lt;/b & gt; and & lt;b & gt; Mumford & amp; Sons & lt;/b & gt;. They’re drawn by songs like “Slow it Down” and “Dead Sea,” slow, sultry ballads that suggest the raw revelations of & lt;b & gt;Jeff Buckley & lt;/b & gt; and & lt;b & gt;Ryan Adams & lt;/b & gt;. They’re drawn by the live Lumineers experience—a coming-together in musical solidarity against isolation, adversity, and despair. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The roots revival of the last few years has primed listeners for a new generation of rustic, heart-on-the-sleeve music—the kind that nods to tradition while setting off into uncharted territory. The Lumineers walk that line with an unerring gift for timeless melodies and soul-stirring lyrics. Born out of sorrow, powered by passion, ripened by hard work, The Lumineers have found their sound when the world needs it most. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Newfound fans are falling in love at first listen with the band's homespun acoustic folk and powerful lyrics. The Lumineers' self-titled debut, released in April, reached No. 3 on the independent chart and No. 31 on Billboard's overall album chart... & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - USA Today & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot; The Lumineers' members have a way of embedding fiery emotion into their music that's all their own. Rollicking, incandescent and reflective, it's music built on a foundation of classical training and roots-rock touring. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - NPR & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;'American Bandstand, electric guitar' frontman Wesley Schultz sings over handclaps in 'Big Parade,' which evokes the JFK era; 'Flapper Girl' is a piano ditty that conjures the days of prohibition. But the central concern is present-tense lust and heartache, which this spirited band translates into a fine drunk-clogging soundtrack. But on 'Slow It Down,' which does just that, you hear a deeper, more haunted sound, suggesting there's more here than meets the beer. & quot; & lt;/b & gt;- Will Hermes, Rolling Stone & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;http://www.youtube.com/embed/zvCBSSwgtg4?rel=0 & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Wesley Schultz, guitar, lead vocals & lt;br & gt; Jeremiah Fraites, drums, vocals & lt;br & gt; Neyla Pekarek, cello, mandolin, piano, vocals & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Debut Album & lt;br & gt; • Mastered by Bob Ludwig & lt;br & gt; • #31 on Billboard's overall album chart & lt;br & gt; • VH1 You Oughta Know Artists On The Rise & lt;br & gt; • Hit Single, & quot;Ho Hey & quot; & lt;br & gt; • Similar in Sound to the Avett Brothers and Mumford & amp; Sons & lt;br & gt; • Limited Time Album Download Included & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side I: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. This was a straight transfer, bypassing the console altogether. There was no EQ of any kind. A true direct transfer, using a VMS 80, the most sophisticated lathe. You're hearing the master tape! & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;What praises haven't been lauded the immortal singing talent of the late, great Patsy Cline? She died at the height of her career, at age 30, with two other stars of the Grand Ole Opry, and her manager, in a private plane crash near Camden, Tennessee, on the group's return to Nashville from Kansas City. Before that ill-fated flight, though, she left a musical legacy as one of the most influential and successful female vocalists of the 20th Century. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;In the late 1950s and the '60s, country music was essentially a singles medium. This album, first released in 1967, collects a dozen of Patsy's biggest hits - all of them from the country singles market - including & quot;Walkin' After Midnight & quot;, & quot;Sweet Dreams (Of You) & quot;, & quot;Crazy & quot; and & quot;I Fall To Pieces & quot;. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Producer Owen Bradley surrounds Cline's full-throated, emotionally charged vocals with lush, sophisticated arrangements that set the standard for Nashville's & quot;countrypolitan & quot; sound. And trust us, on this 200-gram QRP pressing, mastered by Sterling Sound, Cline's seductive vocals have never sounded clearer or richer. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;And the packaging on this release is as deluxe as the audio. Analogue Productions has reissued this classic LP in a new deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket. Inside you'll enjoy a spread of vivid color studio publicity shots of Patsy, courtesy of the Universal Music Archives. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Cline's life and career has been the subject of numerous books, movies, documentaries, articles and stage plays. She has sold millions of albums through the past 50 years, giving her an iconic fan status, similar to that of country artists such as Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton. In 1992, the U.S. Postal Service honored her, along with Hank Williams, on a U.S. postage stamp. And in 1995 she was honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Cline was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Before Shania Twain found a new (though not necessarily improved) way to combine country and pop in the 1990s, this was the top-selling country album of all time by a female artist. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.analogplanet.com & quot; & gt; Everything from the silent 200g pressing to the 'tip-on' (paper on cardboard) gatefold jacket and the center portfolio of great full color Patsy shots screams HIGH QUALITY. & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;180g White Vinyl LP! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Connoisseurs of 1960s girl-pop have been well served in today's market, particularly those with a preference for American or British singers. Good music, of course, is not exclusive to the English-speaking world. Collections devoted to the female vocalists of France, Japan, Spain, and Germany are also available, but to the best of Ace Records' knowledge, their Italian counterparts have not been anthologized. If “Ciao Bella!,” released as a 12-track white vinyl LP in gatefold sleeve is the first of its kind, let’s hope it’s not the last. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In a country known for its song festivals, most notably the prestigious event held annually in Sanremo, lushly orchestrated ballads have always been especially popular, and a few exceptional examples are featured here. The album opens, however, with a selection of uptempo titles. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The 12-track vinyl LP opens with Brunetta's prized dance floor-filler 'Baluba Shake' and closes with 'Pà Diglielo A Mà', a dramatic ballad by big-voiced Nada. The prolific Mina - queen bee of Italy's female singers - gets two tracks: folk rock nugget 'No' and 'Se Telefonando,' a sophisto-pop epic courtesy of maestro Ennio Morricone. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Other highlights include the sitar-embellished ‘Il Mio Posto Qual’è’ by Ornella Vanoni, a convincing cover of ‘Baby Please Don’t Go’ by beat girl Caterina Caselli, Gigliola Cinquetti’s superbly orchestrated Eurovision-winner ‘Non Ho L’età (Per Amarti)’ and breathy-voiced actress Catherine Spaak’s bossa-flavored ‘La Notte È Fatta Per Rubare.' & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • White Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold Jacket & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side One: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. There are many felicitous ouches and the disincguished soloist plays magnifiently throughout. The wonderful Adagio proceeded in a tremulous yet warm cantabile, while the energetic Scherzo, with its introverted Trio, mirrored the relationship of the two earlier movements. The Finale, then, is an almost volcanic explosion... & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - NZZ, Peter Hagmann & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Made in Germany & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Lucerne Festival Orchestra & lt;br & gt; Claudio Abbado, conductor & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Anton Bruckner (1824-1896) & lt;br & gt; Symphony No. 1 in C minor & lt;/b & gt; (Vienna version, 1891) & lt;br & gt; edited by Gunter Brosche & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Capps descends from the celebrated American Southern literary tradition and his songs deal with the South and the idiosyncrasies of its people, landscapes and tempos. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; His backing band, The Lost Cause Minstrels, comprises some of the finest players on today’s Gulf Coast music scene, including Corky Hughes on guitar, Chris Spies on keys, Christian Grizzard on bass and John Milham on drums. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;...Grayson Capps is alive and well and slowly building one of the most phenomenal songbooks in America today. You'd never guess how much music he can make with his three-legged lap steel, and his unique tuning helps identify his sound immediately, among the dozens of steel players who began in the House of God church. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Aubrey takes over on the flip side. His hands fly and he literally makes his lap steel speak. Aubrey's sweet sound and serious expression mask his subtly building tempo and rising sound. A set of dark, meditative songs that's all the more spiritual sounding for its restrained tone. These are poems uttered in an empty field, punctuated by shouts and hollers, as if from a singer either abandoned or possessed. & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;160g Double Vinyl from Legendary & quot;Godfather of British Blues! & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Forty Below Records announces the signing of the legendary “Godfather of British Blues,” John Mayall, and his first studio album in five years, A Special Life. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The album was recorded in November, 2013, at Entourage Studios in North Hollywood and was produced by Mayall, with co-production, engineering and mixing by Eric Corne. A Special Life also boasts original cover art and design created by John Mayall. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Backing Mayall on the album are Texas guitarist Rocky Athas and a Chicago-based rhythm section of Greg Rzab on bass and Jay Davenport on drums. The current band lineup came together for his last studio album, Tough, and has developed an amazing chemistry over the years through consistent touring both in the U.S. and around the world. Athas came on the recommendation of Mayall's former guitarist Buddy Whittington, and quickly asserted himself as a major force in the band. After Rzab came onboard to play bass, he recommended Davenport for the drum spot and the group was complete. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Since 2009, the new, leaner four-piece lineup has given John more room to stretch out as an instrumentalist. After being invited to do a guest spot on Walter Trout’s latest album, John met engineer/producer Eric Corne. John was so impressed that he asked Eric to record his new album. Greg, Jay and Rocky flew in for the sessions which took less than a week to record and the end result is one of John's best albums ever, with its deep devotion to blues and roots music. Accordion legend C.J. Chenier makes a powerhouse guest appearance on a couple of tracks, including the opener, “Why Did You Go Last Night,” written and previously recorded by his father, Zydeco icon Clifton Chenier. A Special Life also includes three new songs penned by John and a reworked Mayall classic to go along with covers of Jimmy Rogers (“That’s All Right”), Albert King (Floodin’ in California”), Sonny Landreth (“Speak of the Devil”), Jimmy McCracklin (“I Just Got to Know”) and Eddie Taylor (Big Town Playboy”), plus a new song written by Greg Rzab and Rocky Athas. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; • 160g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; John Mayall, vocals, harmonica, guitar, organ, pianos & lt;br & gt; Rocky Athas, guitar & lt;br & gt; Greg Rzab, bass guitar, percussion & lt;br & gt; Jay Davenport, drums & lt;br & gt; C.J. & lt;b & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;Blues Album Released On180g Vinyl! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Last Night Blues by Lightnin' Hopkins was originally released in 1961. Joined by Sonny Terry this is a stripped down, soulful release with Sonny delivering instinctive accompaniment to Hopkins' fluid finger picking guitar and gritty vocals. Reissued on 180 gram vinyl on a tip on sleeve with a paper and poly lined inner sleeve. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Outside of Blind Lemon Jefferson, Lightnin' Hopkins may be Texas's most distinctive and influential blues export. His easy, fluid fingerpicking and witty, extemporaneous storytelling are always a delight, and his performances on Last Night Blues are no exception. The album is spare and acoustic, with Hopkins's voice and guitar accompanied by minimal percussion and Sonny Terry's harmonica. Terry's contributions really add a lot to these tunes, threading a high, lonesome whine on the downtempo tunes and a chugging, propulsive shuffle on the faster ones. Hopkins is, of course, one of the kings of the blues boogie, but he's equally compelling on the slow blues, and he never missteps throughout this fine set. All told, this dynamite disc represents what the blues should be: stripped-down, soulful, and full of truth. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Tip-on sleeve & lt;br & gt; • Paper & amp; poly-lined inner sleeve & lt;br & gt; • Mastered by George Horn and Anne-Marie Suenram at Fantasy Studios & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Lightnin' Hopkins, guitar, vocals & lt;br & gt; Sonny Terry, harmonica, vocals & lt;br & gt; Leonard Gaskin, bass & lt;br & gt; Belton Evans, drum & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Otto Klemperer conducting the Phiharmonia Orchestra. Mendelssohn was one of the most gifted musicians of his age. Beginning to compose at the age of eleven he soon showed a degree of precociousness beside which even Mozart's must appear as less amazing. Mendelssohn enchants by an easy flow of graceful, elegantly tailored melody, by the perfection of his form and, in his orchestral works, by his instrumentation which is vivid, colorful and light. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Musicians: & lt;br & gt; Philharmonia Orchestra & lt;br & gt; Otto Klemperer, conductor & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847) & lt;br & gt; & lt;/b & gt;1. & lt;b & gt;Overture & quot; The Hebrides & quot; (Fingal's Cave), Op. 26 & lt;br & gt; Symphony No. 3 in A minor ( & quot;Scotch & quot;) & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 2. It dipped back as far as 1984 with the bulk of its songs hailing from the mid-nineties onward. Over 2/3 of the material had never been heard when originally released in 2006 and had 30 newly recorded songs. Orphans also featured a number of songs finding a home on a Waits' album for the first time. They included Waits' unique interpretations of songs by such diverse talents as The Ramones, Daniel Johnston, Kurt Weill & amp; Bertolt Brecht and Leadbelly. These outtakes, rarities and the previously unreleased material were separately grouped into themes and named, Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards. And now these titles are released individually. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;No contemporary musician embodies the twin virtues of elegance and piracy better than Tom Waits. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest rock band in the world. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • 5LP Box Set & lt;br & gt; • Re-mastered original album & lt;br & gt; • Compilation produced and remastering supervised by Jimmy Page & lt;br & gt; • 5th LP of unreleased audio & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; LP 1 & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Emerson, Lake & Palmer Trilogy LP (Vinyl)
& lt;b & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;A classic reissued on vinyl LP! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; After & quot;threatening & quot; audiences with their hard progressive blend of musical talent, advanced ideas, complicated song structures and deconstructionist theories applied to classical music, it was time for ELP to relax a little with 1972's Trilogy, a more commercially oriented and easy-to-listen-to work which soon became a much deserved mass success. With tracks like the suite-like & quot;Endless Enigma & quot; and Greg Lake's beautiful ballad & quot;From The Beginning & quot; we witness the changes in the direction of this trio that gave up a little of its rough energy for more carefully polished yet intriguing inventions. A classic! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 140g Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Newly Cut from the 24 Bit/96kHz Master Files & lt;br & gt; • 2015 Remaster of the Original 1972 LP & lt;br & gt; • Original Gatefold Sleeve & amp; Artwork & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Greg Lake, vocals, guitars & lt;br & gt; Keith Emerson, keyboards, & lt;br & gt; Carl Palmer, drums, percussion & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Emerson, Lake & Palmer Brain Salad Surgery LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Replica Of Original Gatefold Jacket with Die Cut! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Considered by many to be one of rock's original first super-groups, Emerson Lake & amp; Palmer formed in England in 1970 consisting of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (bass guitar, vocals, guitar) and Carl Palmer (drums, percussion). The band created a brand new world of music, combining classical and symphonic rock fused with beautiful vocals. Their penchant for appropriating themes from classical music and the group's more nuanced, textured approach to symphonic arrangements set ELP apart from their more bombastic guitar-based contemporaries of the time. This subtler and more sublime approach carries on today in the expansive atmospherics of Radiohead and Muse and also in the prog-influenced sphere of band's like Porcupine Tree, Dream Theatre, Opeth and many others, making ELP one of the more relevant torchbearers of the progressive rock sound. Along with Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, and Rush, Emerson Lake and Palmer ushered in the Prog era and as one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1970s having sold over 40 million albums. ELP's dramatic flair, sincere passion, labyrinthine song structures, and symphony-worthy virtuosity proved that classical rockers could compete for arena-scale audiences as the band headlined stadium tours around the world. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Emerson, Lake & amp; Palmer's most successful and well-realized album (after their first), and their most ambitious as a group, as well as their loudest, Brain Salad Surgery was also the most steeped in electronic sounds of any of their records. The main focus, thanks to the three-part & quot;Karn Evil 9, & quot; is sci-fi rock, approached with a volume and vengeance that stretched the art rock audience's tolerance to its outer limit, but also managed to appeal to the metal audience in ways that little of Trilogy did. Indeed, & quot;Karn Evil 9 & quot; is the piece and the place where Keith Emerson and his keyboards finally matched in both music and flamboyance the larger-than-life guitar sound of Jimi Hendrix. This also marked the point in the group's history in which they brought in their first outside creative hand, in the guise of ex-King Crimson lyricist Pete Sinfield... Greg Lake pulled out all the stops with his heaviest singing voice in handling them, coming off a bit like Peter Gabriel in the process. And amid Carl Palmer's prodigious drumming, it was all a showcase for Emerson, who employed more keyboards and more sounds here -- including electronic voices -- than had previously been heard on one of their records. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Bruce Eder, allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 140g Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Newly cut from the 24 bit/96khz master files & lt;br & gt; • 2014 Remaster of original 1973 LP & lt;br & gt; • Original Gatefold Sleeve & amp; Artwork, With Poster & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Keith Emerson, Hammond organs, piano, harpsichord, accordion, Moog Modular synthesizer, Moog Minimoog synthesizer, Moog Constellation polyphonic ensemble, & quot;computer & quot; vocals (Karn Evil 9: 3rd Impression) & lt;br & gt; Greg Lake, vocals, 6-string & amp; 12-string acoustic & amp; electric guitars, bass guitar & lt;br & gt; Carl Palmer, drums, percussion, gongs, timpani, percussion synthesizers & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. It would be their last album of original material until 1992's Black Moon. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The album finds the band back to their intimate best, producing a lighter, more concise and accessible album, with the band jamming in the relaxed atmosphere of a studio in Nassau, Bahamas. As usual, ELP produced an excellent, technically accomplished mix of classical music and electronics, once again unearthing their extraordinary musical chemistry. Includes fans' / live favorites 'The Gambler' and the hard-rocking 'Canario' (based on Rodrigo's 'Fantasia Para Un Gentilhombre'). Side 2 is taken up by the superb 'Memoirs Of An Officer And A Gentleman' – one of their finest suites, highlighting voice, piano, and marching drums. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Formed in London in 1970, the group consisted of Keith Emerson on keyboards, Greg Lake as vocalist and bassist, and Carl Palmer performing drum and percussion duties. They were one of the most successful prog rock bands in the 1970s with influences of classical, jazz and symphonic rock elements. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The LP is the complete, remastered original album, with original sleeve artwork replicated. Features a foreword on the 140 gram LP format by Greg Lake. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • New 24 bit/96kHz 2017 Remaster of the 1978 LP & lt;br & gt; • Remastered from the original tapes & lt;br & gt; • Original sleeve & amp; artwork & lt;br & gt; • Foreword on the LP audio by Greg Lake & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side One: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Their first 7 album releases all made the U.K. albums chart top 10 and U.S. top 20. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Works Volume 1 (originally released as 'Works') is ELP's fifth studio album. It was released as a double LP in 1977, and has now been expertly remastered for the first time in 24 bit / High Density formats from the original tapes, by world-renowned rock studio engineer Andy Pearce. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Each member of the group was allocated one side of the double LP album for their own compositions. The fourth side features songs written by the entire group. Keith Emerson wrote Piano Concerto No. 1 (Side A), Greg Lake wrote several songs along with Peter Sinfield, and Carl Palmer chose tracks of various styles. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features ELPs anthemic and stylish 'Fanfare For The Common Man', a massive hit which reached No.2 in the U.K.; the brilliant, Keith Emerson compiled 'Piano Concerto No.1', performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra; excellent romantic songs from Greg Lake at the peak of his creativity, and hard rocking classical adaptations from Carl Palmer – featuring Joe Walsh on lead guitar for one song. The great jazz composer Harry South is present, and Carl contributes a powerful new version of 'Tank', first heard on the group's debut album. Works 1 took ELP's bombastic, keyboard-driven prog rock epics to the limit! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; This LP is the complete, remastered original album, with original gatefold sleeve, embossed logo, and artwork replicated. Blurring the boundaries of time and genre, James interprets songs made famous by artists including The Beach Boys, Sonny and Cher, Dianne Izzo, Ray Noble and Al Bowlly, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and Abey Lincoln. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The LP's first track is a cover of the Beach Boys' & quot;I Just Wasn't Made For These Times & quot;. According to Pitchfork, James recorded the cover over a sample of Isaac Hayes' & quot;By the Time I Get to Phoenix & quot;, itself a cover of the Jimmy Webb song popularized by Glen Campbell. In a press release, James explains that he & quot;ripped apart 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix' and put it back together again as 'I Just Wasn't Made for These Times' & quot; while listening to the master tapes for Hayes' Hot Buttered Soul. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & quot;'I Just Wasn't Made for These Times' is a song that has spoken to me very deeply from the first time I heard it, & quot; James explains. & quot;So often, many of us just feel like we don't fit in, like somehow we were dropped into the wrong life at the wrong time. This song has such a beautiful way of resonating with that energy and relating to the pain of life on earth, but also offering hope and comfort in the beautiful sounds of togetherness. & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/WBWe7ntARxY & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Limited time download & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Limited Edition 180g Red Vinyl LP - Only 700 Copies! & lt;br & gt; First Vinyl Reissue In More Than 40 Years! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Una Magnum Special Per Tony Saitta (aka Blazing Magnum: Strange Shadows In An Empty Room) is a cop movie directed in 1976 by Alberto De Martino and starring Stuart Whitman, Martin Landau, Tisa Farrow, and Gayle Hunnicutt. It was co-produced by Italy and Canada. An Ottawa police captain searches for the person who poisoned his sister, who was attending the university in Montreal. Later on, he desperately starts to use his own brutal methods to find the killer, but the truth turns out to be something different than what he had expected. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Trovajoli has composed and conducted a score that elegantly occupies a place of all respect in the Cops/Giallo movies' scoring. The score alternates between action-driven funky music to nostalgic/romantic music in a reflection of the two dimensions of the protagonist: his cop job full of tasks and his private life full of sadness, but he becomes the superhero of the story by taking vengeance against those who hurt him by killing his beloved sister, and ultimately discovering the unexpected truth. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; For this vinyl album the original record master in stereo sound was used, restored and remastered to the highest quality. More or less the music in the movie is featured on this album, prepared for release by the composer himself for a very fine listening experience. Enjoy a half-hour with Armando Trovajoli and his cool sound! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Limited Edition - Only 700 Copies! & lt;br & gt; • 180g Red Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • 24 bit / 96 kHz remaster from original tapes & lt;br & gt; • Booklet with extensive liner notes, rare photos and posters of film & lt;br & gt; • Import & lt;br & gt; • Made in Germany & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Brian Eno Music For Installations 9LP Box Set (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Limited Edition Super Deluxe 9LP Box Set! & lt;br & gt; New, Rare & amp; Previously Unreleased Tracks! & lt;br & gt; First Time On Vinyl! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Musician, producer, visual artist, thinker and activist Brian Eno first came to international prominence in the early '70s as a founding member of Roxy Music, and immediately followed that with a series of critically-praised and influential solo albums. His visionary production work includes albums with David Bowie, Talking Heads, Devo, Laurie Anderson and Coldplay, while his long list of collaborations includes recordings with John Cale, David Byrne, Grace Jones and James Blake. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Less widely discussed, though equally notable and arguably even more prolific, are his visual experiments with light and video. These are the fertile ground from which so much of his other work has grown; they cover an even longer span of time than his recordings, and have in recent decades paralleled his musical output. These highly-acclaimed works have been exhibited all over the globe – from the Venice Biennale and the Marble Palace in St Petersburg to Beijing's Ritan Park and the sails of the Sydney Opera House. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Brian Eno said of the collection: & lt;b & gt; & quot;If you think of music as a moving, changing form, and painting as a still form, what I'm trying to do is make very still music and paintings that move. I'm trying to find in both of those forms, the space in between the traditional concept of music and the traditional concept of painting. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Music For Installations is a collection of new, rare and previously unreleased tracks, all of which will be available on vinyl for the first time. All of the material was recorded by Eno for use in his installations covering the period from 1986 until the present (and beyond!). Over this time he has emerged as the leading exponent of generative music worldwide and is recognized as one of the foremost audio-visual installation artists of his time. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Designed by Eno and long-time collaborator Nick Robertson, this beautifully bound package comes with a 64-page booklet featuring rare and unseen exhibition photographs and a new essay written by Eno himself. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Limited Edition 9LP Box Set & lt;br & gt; • 12 x 12 rigid box set of 9 LPs containing music from Brian Eno’s installations past, present and future & lt;br & gt; • 64-page book containing a brand new essay by Eno plus rare & amp; previously unseen photographs from his various exhibitions from 1997 to the present & lt;br & gt; • Each album is housed in a beautiful die-cut sleeve designed with long-time collaborator Nick Robertson & lt;br & gt; • All music is guaranteed first time on vinyl & lt;br & gt; • 50% of the music contained in the box set has never been available in any format and the rest has only ever had very limited cd direct to consumer release & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl mastered and cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering, London & lt;br & gt; • 100% first time on vinyl, strictly limited edition & lt;br & gt; • Limited time download code & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; LP 1 & lt;br & gt; Music From Installations (previously unreleased) & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Uniform Distortion is his latest solo adventure and & quot;Just a Fool & quot; is his cowbell-rocking song from the album. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The philosophy and thought that went into making this record was inspired by Jim James' utter fascination with The Last Whole Earth Catalog. If you don't know the publication, suffice it to say that it was a bible for many of us hippie kids bent on a mission to make the planet a better place some 40 and 50 years ago. It was like the Internet for ecology in magazine form. The catalog included a particular image that captured Jim James' imagination – a photograph titled the & quot;Illuminated Man & quot; by Duane Michals. Jim James wanted to use this image for his album and wrote to Duane Michals for permission. After being turned down, James doubled down his efforts and wrote another letter to Michals, which convinced him to allow James to use the photo. The following is an excerpt from that letter. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;My head feels like it is exploding with the amount of information we are forced to consume on a daily basis, and how that information is so DISTORTED there is almost no longer any tangible truth. The name of my new record is UNIFORM DISTORTION because I feel like there is this blanket distortion on society/media and the way we gather our ‘news and important information. More and more of us are feeling lost and looking for new ways out of this distortion and back to the truth…and finding hope in places like the desert where I write this now...finding hope in the land and in the water and in old books offering new ideas and most importantly in each other and love. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/Qmya6hUzVhE & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Gatefold jacket & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Limited time download & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Beastie Boys Paul's Boutique LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;TAS Super LP List! Special Merit: Informal & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Hip-Hop Masterpiece On Vinyl LP! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 156/500! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Paul's Boutique is the second studio album by the Beastie Boys, released on July 25, 1989, on Capitol Records. Featuring production by the Dust Brothers, the album was recorded in Matt Dike's apartment and the Record Plant in Los Angeles from 1988 to 1989, and mixed at the Record Plant. Remixes were made at the Manhattan-based Record Plant Studios. Aside from the vocals, the album is almost completely composed of samples. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Paul's Boutique did not match the sales of the Beastie Boys' previous record, Licensed to Ill, and Capitol eventually stopped promoting it. However, its popularity grew and it has since been recognized as a breakthrough achievement. Highly varied lyrically and sonically, Paul's Boutique secured the Beastie Boys' place as critical favorites in the hip-hop genre. The album's rankings near the top of many publications' & quot;best albums & quot; lists in disparate genres has given Paul's Boutique critical recognition as a landmark album in hip hop. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Musically, few hip-hop records have ever been so rich; it's not just the recontextulations of familiar music via samples, it's the flow of each song and the album as a whole, culminating in the widescreen suite that closes the record. Lyrically, the Beasties have never been better -- not just because their jokes are razor-sharp, but because they construct full-bodied narratives and evocative portraits of characters and places. Few pop records offer this much to savor, and if Paul's Boutique only made a modest impact upon its initial release, over time its influence could be heard through pop and rap, yet no matter how its influence was felt, it stands alone as a record of stunning vision, maturity, and accomplishment. Plus, it's a hell of a lot of fun, no matter how many times you've heard it. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - AllMusic & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot; For their second album, the Beasties hired the Dust Brothers, a production team that provided some of the best samples ever on wax – from the Ramones to the Funky 4+1. The title is a goof on Abbey Road, which was Paul McCartney's boutique; like that LP, it stitches together song fragments in a way rarely seen before or since. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Rolling Stone, 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Paul's Boutique is still a sumptuous feast of rhyming and stealing other people's tunes; in The Sound Of Science alone they grab the new sample culture by the horns and sample three Beatles tunes. With the then very hot production team of The Dust Brothers aboard, nothing was off limits – country, funk, Bernard Herrmann scores, Chic, ping pong; all are fed into the mix. Nobody would even attempt to copy it, such was its audaciousness. Lyrically, Tibet was a few years off. Instead, here were tales of the Egg Man, Johnny Ryall and Shadrach; there were dedications To All the Girls in the sumptuous opener; and subsequently in Shake Your Rump and Hey Ladies too, two of their most funktastic moments. It's interesting to wonder what would have happened had the Beasties carried on in brat mode. Would their influence on contemporary culture have been the same if Paul's Boutique hadn't happened? Most definitely not. To tire of this album is to tire of breathing. A genuine masterpiece. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - BBC & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Double Gatefold & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Celebrating 75 years of Capitol's music & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Produced by Nick Patrick and Don Reedman, the album pairs The Beach Boys' original vocal performances with new symphonic arrangements, newly recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Beach Boys With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra spans decades of timeless Beach Boys hits and favorites across its 17 tracks. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; On March 8 and 9, 2018, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra convened in Studio 2 at Universal Music Group's Abbey Road Studios in London, the storied room where The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and other legendary artists have recorded some of the world's most cherished music. There, they recorded new orchestral arrangements to complement The Beach Boys' classic vocal harmonies from the legendary group's original recordings. Conducted by Steve Sidwell and Sally Herbert, who also wrote several of the album's new symphonic arrangements, the orchestra dove into The Beach Boys classics, including the new album's earliest hit, 1964's & quot;Fun, Fun, Fun, & quot; and its most recent one, 1988's & quot;Kokomo. & quot; The album also features the orchestra's new turns on the signature classics & quot;Good Vibrations, & quot; & quot;California Girls, & quot; & quot;Wouldn't It Be Nice, & quot; & quot;God Only Knows, & quot; & quot;Sloop John B, & quot; & quot;Help Me, Rhonda, & quot; & quot;In My Room, & quot; & quot;Disney Girls, & quot; and several more. The resulting album, The Beach Boys With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, honors The Beach Boys' artistry and innovation in an inspired new way with the group's first album collaboration with a full orchestra. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson says, & lt;b & gt; & quot;I always knew the vocal arrangements I did back in the 1960s would lend themselves perfectly for a symphony and there is no better one in the world than the Royal Philharmonic. I am both proud and humbled by what they have created using our songs and I hope everyone falls in love with it like I have. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love says, & lt;b & gt; & quot; This album is one of a kind. I think the fact that the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has accompanied The Beach Boys with these great arrangements is just a phenomenal thing. It's a whole other dimension to our music. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Beach Boys' Al Jardine says, & lt;b & gt; & quot;Don Reedman and Nick Patrick did a terrific job on this. I can't imagine having more fun than taking some of these great songs and putting them into this perspective. They did a beautiful job of arranging the music around the original vocals, which I think is a terrific idea. It makes the music feel new all over again! & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Beach Boys' Bruce Johnston says, & lt;b & gt; & quot; When I listened to the album, I realized that the new arrangements performed by the orchestra didn't add the wrong kind of weight. They just added the beautiful fairy dust of the orchestra to what we already recorded. It's another interpretation of us without losing the groundwork of us. I really like it. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Beach Boys With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra co-producer Nick Patrick says, & lt;b & gt; & quot;I'm a complete and utter fan of The Beach Boys and the way their music makes you feel. The Beach Boys' music is so multi-layered -- you can experience it on so many layers. You've got the obvious harmonies, which are amazing. But what we found making this record is when you dig down into the arrangements, they're extraordinary. They're fresh. They're new. They're complex. They're beautiful and constructed in a completely original way. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Beach Boys With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra co-producer Don Reedman says, & lt;b & gt; & quot;To be able to make this record, it's a great honor. The feeling you get, listening to the original recordings and the performances, and then to be able to put our expression into their recordings through our arrangements and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is an absolute thrill. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/rQUevuu0FYE & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allow= & quot;autoplay; encrypted-media & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Double LP & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Gatefold jacket & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; LP 1 - Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1.
