Start with Harvey's home recordings to hear how well-formed her ideas were before she entered the studio with producer Flood and collaborators John Parish and Mick Harvey. Using a primitive-sounding drum machine and some simple overdubs, she mapped out the landscape of future classics 'Down By The Water' and 'Meet Ze Monsta' with exacting detail. Switch over to the fully-fleshed out versions of this same material and the feeling is explosive. Harvey moved far beyond the raw agitation of her first two albums into a richer, almost serpentine sound. The music sounds especially bold and vibrant on this new vinyl pressing. Every song is perfectly balanced, and there's none of the digital clipping that marred the original CD release.

& lt;p & gt;Abbey Road's world-renowned engineers have been cutting grooves into discs since the studios first opened their doors in 1931. These records were pressed from master cuts using a precision technique known as half-speed mastering. The procedure requires
the source master and the cutting lathe to run at half speed on a specially adapted Neumann VMS-80 lathe. This rare and specialised technique transforms difficult to cut highend frequencies into relatively easy to cut mid-range frequencies. The result

To celebrate what would have been Bob Marley's 75th birthday last year, Island Records reissued the albums that the reggae legend released with the British label from 1973 to his death in 1983, with the addition of Legend, the greatest hits compilation that is one of the best selling albums of all time. And these fresh pressings were cut using half-speed mastering techniques, which help beef up the sound of these already spectacular recordings. As Marley's fanbase has only grown and deepened over the years, all 12 albums sold out online quickly. But if you have an abiding interest in his work and want to hear it with clarity and intensity, you'd do well to hit your local shop or online resellers to find these. The sound of Marley and his crack backing band, which included Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer in its earliest incarnation, is bulbous and thick on these reissues. The basswork of Aston 'Family Man' Barrett is given room to rumble, and the balance of elements, particularly the interplay between Marley and backing vocalists the I-Threes, is well-preserved. With the centenary of Marley's birth right around the corner, this won't be the last time Island finds a way to repackage and resell his work. But I'm skeptical that those future reissues will sound as good as these.

There's a bit more ingenuity in the production and a little more focus in the songs but not enough for the nonfaithful to pick up on. Unfortunately the lead single, 'Mein Teil,' is no 'Du Hast,' but the damning 'Amerika' almost equals their breakthrough track. Whether or not Rammstein's label has the guts to release the band's acerbic 'Coca-Cola/Sometimes War' view of the States as a single is another question, but it's the key track to the album, an album that has a couple more, minor surprises. The loose, bluesy guitar on 'Los' adds some quirk to the band's stern, Teutonic palette, while the sinister 'Stein Um Stein' creeps more than stomps in parts. That's it for twists and turns, but few bands can industrially grind as convincingly as Rammstein. To celebrate what would have been Bob Marley's 75th birthday last year, Island Records reissued the albums that the reggae legend released with the British label from 1973 to his death in 1983, with the addition of Legend, the greatest hits compilation that is one of the best selling albums of all time. And these fresh pressings were cut using half-speed mastering techniques, which help beef up the sound of these already spectacular recordings. As Marley's fanbase has only grown and deepened over the years, all 12 albums sold out online quickly. But if you have an abiding interest in his work and want to hear it with clarity and intensity, you'd do well to hit your local shop or online resellers to find these. The sound of Marley and his crack backing band, which included Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer in its earliest incarnation, is bulbous and thick on these reissues. The basswork of Aston 'Family Man' Barrett is given room to rumble, and the balance of elements, particularly the interplay between Marley and backing vocalists the I-Threes, is well-preserved. With the centenary of Marley's birth right around the corner, this won't be the last time Island finds a way to repackage and resell his work. But I'm skeptical that those future reissues will sound as good as these.

To celebrate what would have been Bob Marley's 75th birthday last year, Island Records reissued the albums that the reggae legend released with the British label from 1973 to his death in 1983, with the addition of Legend, the greatest hits compilation that is one of the best selling albums of all time. And these fresh pressings were cut using half-speed mastering techniques, which help beef up the sound of these already spectacular recordings. As Marley's fanbase has only grown and deepened over the years, all 12 albums sold out online quickly. But if you have an abiding interest in his work and want to hear it with clarity and intensity, you'd do well to hit your local shop or online resellers to find these. The sound of Marley and his crack backing band, which included Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer in its earliest incarnation, is bulbous and thick on these reissues. The basswork of Aston 'Family Man' Barrett is given room to rumble, and the balance of elements, particularly the interplay between Marley and backing vocalists the I-Threes, is well-preserved. With the centenary of Marley's birth right around the corner, this won't be the last time Island finds a way to repackage and resell his work. But I'm skeptical that those future reissues will sound as good as these.

The swaggering sass and stomp of 'Wollt Ihr das Bett in Flammen Sehen' makes for a near-perfect start, and from there the band merrily -- without a smile on its collective face -- has a great, loud-as-hell time. The downside is that the formula is in some ways so perfected they don't vary it much -- verses with roiling basses and stomping drums, cascading feedback apocalypse and sometimes squelchy samples adding textures and beats as needed. But there's more there than might be guessed -- the sternly beautiful choruses on 'Der Meister,' soothing keyboards suggesting a 'we all march forward!' anthem for the modern day, the nods toward jungle/drum'n'bass on songs like 'Asche zu Asche,' the full-on goth/Depeche-into-metal love of 'Heirate Mich' and 'Laichzeit.' & lt;p & gt;Bob Marley And The Wailers were at the peak of their artistic powers when they arrived at the Lyceum London for two shows on July 17 and 18, 1975, having just released Natty Dread the year before and about to unleash Rastaman Vibration on the world. The
Rolling Stones Mobile Studio was on hand to record both shows, with seven songs from the second show released as Live! in December of that same year. & lt;/p & gt;
& lt;p & gt;Abbey Road's world-renowned engineers have been cutting grooves into discs since the studios first opened their doors in 1931. These records were pressed from master cuts using a precision technique known as half-speed mastering. The procedure requires
the source master and the cutting lathe to run at half speed on a specially adapted Neumann VMS-80 lathe. This rare and specialised technique transforms difficult to cut highend frequencies into relatively easy to cut mid-range frequencies. The result
is a cut with excellent high frequency response and very solid and stable stereo images. In short, half-speed mastering produces a master of the highest quality that enables the pressing plant to produce a superlative record. - Miles Showell, Mastering

To celebrate what would have been Bob Marley's 75th birthday last year, Island Records reissued the albums that the reggae legend released with the British label from 1973 to his death in 1983, with the addition of Legend, the greatest hits compilation that is one of the best selling albums of all time. And these fresh pressings were cut using half-speed mastering techniques, which help beef up the sound of these already spectacular recordings. As Marley's fanbase has only grown and deepened over the years, all 12 albums sold out online quickly. But if you have an abiding interest in his work and want to hear it with clarity and intensity, you'd do well to hit your local shop or online resellers to find these. The sound of Marley and his crack backing band, which included Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer in its earliest incarnation, is bulbous and thick on these reissues. The basswork of Aston 'Family Man' Barrett is given room to rumble, and the balance of elements, particularly the interplay between Marley and backing vocalists the I-Threes, is well-preserved. With the centenary of Marley's birth right around the corner, this won't be the last time Island finds a way to repackage and resell his work. But I'm skeptical that those future reissues will sound as good as these.

Originally released in 2009, the album was remastered in 2015 by the longtime Rammstein sound engineers.The band helped to found a subgenre within German hard rock and metal that became known as Neue Deutsche Harte, which describes a crossover style that is influenced by New German Wave, alternative metal and groove metal combining it with elements from electronica and techno. Their album Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da was added to the index of the Bundesprüfstelle Fur jugendgefahrdende Medien (Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons) in Germany, due to the track "Ich tu dir weh" and a picture inside the album booklet displaying lead guitarist Richard Kruspe spanking a nude woman. This means only adults can purchase the album; additionally, it must not be displayed in stores where minors have access. As a consequence, the album was re-released in Germany on November 16, 2009 in an edited version without the censored track and picture. The band still played the instrumental version song live in Germany until it was ultimately banned from live performances. As of May 31, 2010, the administrative court in Cologne has decided to waive the suspensive effect of censorship. Combining the tightness and punch of their 1998 album, Sehnsucht, with the musicianship and elaborate textures of their later work, LIEBE IST is a grand achievement, skillfully dividing its time between razor sharp metal rockers like 'B********,' or the opening theme song 'Rammlied' and nostalgic cabaret pieces that conjure the spirits of Weil and Brecht at a goth club. The best of the latter is the naked and haunting closer 'Roter Sand,' but little touches of a sinister yesteryear are everywhere, like the fake vaudeville music in 'Haifisch,' or the soundtrack strings of 'Wiener Blut,' which are eventually overcome by a guitar-crunching juggernaut. This strange mix of styles is more effective here than it has been for about a decade, and there's no threat of the album becoming ponderous, either, as an economical track list and purposeful songs wipe away the sins of their previous album, 2005's Rosenrot.
