Our Riverstone Chardonnay vineyards in the Arroyo Seco are composed of primarily Elder loam soils; these soils have large alluvial stones locally known as “Greenfield Potatoes,” which limit soil depth to one to four feet, providing ideal drainage for our vines. Classic Monterey stone fruit and citrus aromas and flavors, balanced by cool climate acidity and nine months oak aging. This wine has earned the “Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing” seal from the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance.

J. Lohr Pure Paso artfully blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah – two J. Lohr benchmark varieties – into a unique proprietary red wine. The two varieties have long been intertwined in J. Lohr’s winegrowing history and, in particular, the Lohr family’s pioneering efforts in the Paso Robles region.
The very first J. Lohr commercial release in 1974 was a Petite Sirah. It was the search to find ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon that led Jerry and his team to Paso Robles in the mid-1980s. More than thirty years of Family, Place, and Craft in Paso Robles have given J. Lohr a unique perspective on the region. That experience allows us to explore projects that speak directly to the appellation’s history, character, and sense of place.

The long cool growing season of the Arroyo Seco appellation ensures that the fleeting, exotic fruit flavors of Sauvignon Blanc are retained along with a vibrant natural acidity. The Flume Crossing Sauvignon Blanc is created to be an expression of pure varietal character, influenced only by its terroir, gently guided by minimal farming and winemaking practices.
The Flume Crossing Sauvignon Blanc is pale yellow in color and displays aromas of honeysuckle, sweet herbs, lime, and fig. These aromas are complemented on the palate by the bright flavors of grapefruit, kiwi, passionfruit, and lemongrass, with the rich texture and long finish provided by the acacia barrels.

Our original cabernet blocks in Paso Robles were planted among a stand of majestic oak trees, which still thrive today. Since its debut in 1987, Seven Oaks has proudly represented Paso Robles on shelves and wine lists across the country. Ripe fruit aromas of black cherry and currant are accented by notes of toasted pastry and dark roast coffee from the authentic barrel bouquet. Persistent high-toned red fruit strikes the palate, followed by bright acidity and a structure that is both dense and soft at once.
