Active Single-Pair Extender (Reciever)/Format-A/Stainless
The D SERIES-TPR1A modules are single-pair audio receiving modules compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. These modules are designed to be mounted in wall boxes, cabinets or other enclosures that allow users to connect external equipment. The -TPR1A models mount in RDL WB-1U and WB-2U wall boxes, or in standard U.S. electrical boxes. The D-TPR1A features a white front-panel laminate with gray lettering that matches RDL Decora?-style remote controls. The DB-TPR1A features a black front-panel laminate. The DS-TPR1A is constructed of stainless steel to coordinate with RDL Decora-style stainless steel remote controls in commercial/industrial installations. APPLICATION: The D SERIES-TPR1A modules feature an XLR output jack. A rear-panel switch set during installation determines which of the three FORMAT-A pairs is buffered to feed the module output. The audio signal received from the selected pair of the RJ45 INPUT jack feeds the XLR audio output jack. The output level from the XLR jack is set to either MIC or LINE level during installation using a rear-panel switch. This module receives signal from only one cable pair, so the D SERIES-TPR1A modules have a second RJ45 jack to connect cables to additional receiver modules. Two other single-pair receivers may be chained to the second RJ45 jack, or a single two-pair receiver may be connected. In addition to completing the reception of signals from all three FORMAT-A pairs, additional receivers may be connected to the same twisted pair feed. The bridging input circuits used in all FORMAT-A twisted pair receivers allow connection of up to 10 receiver outputs for each cable pair. The possibility of multiple receiver locations adds enormous flexibility in the design of audio routing systems using RDL FORMAT-A products. The power pair and all three audio pairs are fed through both rear-panel RJ45 jacks. The D SERIES-TPR1A may be powered directly from a 24 Vdc power supply using the rear-panel detachable terminal block. Local power connected to the module is also fed to all connected remote modules. The -TPR1A may be remotely powered through the twisted pair cable from any other module, signal distributor or RDL power inserter connected to the same twisted pair cable. Module power is indicated by a front-panel LED. RDL FORMAT-A features superior audio performance that rivals or exceeds shielded wiring. Design simplicity, ease of installation, unsurpassed flexibility, automatic fused power, exceptional hum rejection, low noise, and low distortion provide designers and installers the optimum choice in economical twisted pair products. Serial Controlled Interface/Computer Control
The RU2-CS1 controls 8 open-collector outputs. It also provides 8 separate 0 to 10 Vdc outputs to control external VCAs or other equipment with 0 to 10 Vdc control inputs. Eight status inputs are provided for sensing external switch or transistor closures. The RU2-CS1 connects to a computer through an RS-232 serial link. Commands may be initiated from a terminal program or from user software. OUTPUT TERMINALS - A command will either activate or deactivate each of the eight open-collector outputs. A separate command simultaneously activates or deactivates all outputs. A pulse command will provide a 100 mS pulse at a designated output. Each output is pulled to ground when it is active. 0 TO 10 VOLT OUTPUTS - The ramp rate for each output can be preset individually or globally. Output commands then initiate a ramp from the present level to a newly defined level. The output level (one or all) may also be sent directly to a new level without ramping. A separate command will set the RU2-CS1 to report the completion of ramping. Each 0 to 10 Vdc output may be programmed to output 0 to 5 Vdc without any loss of resolution. STATUS INPUT TERMINALS - The RU2-CS1 may be set to provide an alert any time an individual status input terminal changes state (low to high, high to low). Global commands allow enabling or disabling alerts from all status inputs. The controlling computer can also query the status of an individual terminal or all status terminals. A separate command allows the program to provide an alert when a defined pattern of all eight status terminals occurs. The RU2-CS1 may be operated without any response codes fed back to the computer. An initialization command sets all parameters to known values at the beginning of the user program. Error codes may be enabled to assist in development of controlling software. Front panel LEDs show any active outputs, active status inputs, transmit and receive data, errors and power. The D SERIES-TPR3A modules are three-pair audio receiving modules compatible with RDL? Format-A twisted pair products. These modules are designed to be mounted in wall boxes, cabinets or other enclosures that allow users to connect external equipment. The -TPR3A models mount in RDL WB-1U and WB-2U wall boxes, or in standard U.S. electrical boxes. The D-TPR3A features a white front-panel laminate with gray lettering that matches RDL Decora?-style remote controls. The DB-TPR3A features a black front-panel laminate. The DS-TPR3A is constructed of stainless steel to coordinate with RDL Decora-style stainless steel remote controls in commercial/industrial installations. APPLICATION: The D SERIES-TPR3A modules feature an XLR audio output and two RCA phono jack outputs, one for the left channel and one for the right channel. The audio signal received from pair A of the RJ45 INPUT jack feeds the XLR audio output jack. The output level from the XLR jack is set to either MIC or LINE level during installation using a rear-panel switch. The audio signals received from pairs B and C of the twisted pair cable are buffered to drive the RCA output jacks at the standard -10 dBV consumer level. Although the D SERIES-TPR3A modules access signals from all three cable pairs, additional receivers may be connected to the same twisted pair feed. The bridging input circuits used in all FORMAT-A twisted pair receivers allow connection of up to 10 receiver outputs for each cable pair. The possibility of multiple receiver locations adds enormous flexibility in the design of audio routing systems using RDL FORMAT-A products. The D SERIES-TPR3A may be powered directly from a 24 Vdc power supply using the rear-panel detachable terminal block. Local power connected to the module is also fed to all connected remote modules. The -TPR3A may be remotely powered through the twisted pair cable from any other module, signal distributor or RDL power inserter connected to the same twisted pair cable. Module power is indicated by a front-panel LED. RDL FORMAT-A features superior audio performance that rivals or exceeds shielded wiring. Design simplicity, ease of installation, unsurpassed flexibility, automatic fused power, exceptional hum rejection, low noise, and low distortion provide designers and installers the optimum choice in economical twisted pair products.
