Radio Design Labs D-J1 Microphone Input Assembly Features: Wall Mounted Microphone Input Panel XLR Input Connector with Gold Contacts Barrier Block Wiring Connections Ground-Lift Terminals on Barrier Block The D SERIES-J1 is a complete microphone input panel assembly. Connections to the female front-panel XLR jack are made on a rear barrier block. Four terminals are provided: CASE GROUND, SHIELD (XLR pin 1), + (XLR pin 2) and - (XLR pin 3). The installer may install a jumper between the SHIELD connection and CASE GROUND if desired. The back of the D SERIES-J1 is finished with a metal enclosure clearly labeled for easy installation. The D SERIES-J1 fits directly into back boxes, available from RDL to fit cabinets or US or international walls (RDL WB-1U). They may be mounted directly into cabinets or most standard US single gang electrical boxes.

DS-RC2M RADIO DESIGN LAB-Z REMOTE AUDIO MIXING CONTROL
The D-RC type remote audio mixing controls provide user-accessible volume knobs for two or three sources. Each control is available with level controls only, or with level controls plus a muting button for each channel. They function exactly as a mixer without the need to send audio to and from the remote location. A rear-panel RJ45 jack provides the connection for standard twisted-pair wiring between the remote control and an RDL remote-controlled mixer. The cable sends the knob position and muting status data to the mixer. All audio signals remain local to the mixer which uses VCA technology to set the mixer levels. A long life 10 k & Omega; potentiometer is used in the control for setting the VCA voltage. Muting models provide a MUTE button for each mixer channel that alternately mutes or un-mutes the audio. The RU-MX4 is the ideal choice in many applications where a combination of balanced mic and/or unbalanced line-level signals needs to be mixed. Balanced connections use XLR connectors. Unbalanced signals are coupled through phono jacks. Each of the four inputs can accept either a balanced XLR mic or an unbalanced line-level input. 24 V phantom is individually switch selectable for each mic input. The SR-4 is a universal module chassis that can mount to a backboard, wall or nearly any other support. It provides mounting for 4 STICK-ON power amplifiers or 7 standard STICK-ON modules. TX & #8482; modules may also be mounted. There is ample space for neat wire harnessing. Hole plugs are included to cover unused wiring holes. Four cable entry ports are provided, two on the bottom and one on each side. Each of these ports is designed either for cabling or mounting any AMS accessory. Two rear mounting holes in the SR-4 align with an RDL WB-2U (or standard double US electrical box) for wall mount installations with rear wire entry.

Radio Design Labs DS-A2 Line Output Assembly The D/DS/RCX-A2 is a passive audio output assembly that provides one or two unbalanced consumer level audio outputs from a balanced line-level audio source. It may be connected to the +4 dBu line level output of any RDL product, even if that output is simultaneously feeding other equipment. The D/DS/RCX-A2 circuit design provides a high degree of audio isolation if a user accidentally feeds a consumer-level source into the D/DS/RCX-A2. The attenuation of such reverse signals is sufficient for most installations. Active RDL modules are available for complete isolation if required. The D/DS/RCX-A2 output jacks are transformer isolated from the balanced line input, and the input shield is separated from the case ground to reduce the possibility of induced hum. The D/DS/RCX-A2 is not intended as an audio input panel. The D/DS/RCX-A2 fits directly into back boxes, available from RDL, to fit cabinets or US or international walls (RDL WB-1U). Radio Design Labs DS-J2 Line Input Assembly The D/DS/RCX-J2 is a complete unbalanced audio input panel assembly. The front panel features two phono jacks intended for mono or stereo consumer level sources. LEFT and RIGHT are combined and balanced through audio transformers configured to reject induced hum. RDL HD-PA35UA 35 W/Power Amplifier 25, 70, 100 V, w/Power Supply The HD-PA35UA is a single input audio amplifier for systems demanding the highest energy efficiency. It may be used as a single zone amplifier fed from a variety of RDL or OEM mixers. It is ideal for providing one or more additional zones to a mix originating from another RDL HD series mixer amplifier. The 35 watt power amplifier output is driven from a high-efficiency Class D amplifier stage. The amplifier normally shuts down (standby "sleep" mode) when audio is absent and automatically turns on when needed. The amplifier output level may be VCA controlled using various optional RDL remote controls, or by industry standard 0 to 10 Vdc or 0 to 10k ohm controls. The amplifier provides a constant voltage output (25 V, 70 V or 100 V). The HD-PA35UA is engineered, tested and manufactured in the U.S.A. to strict energy conservation standards. The unit consumes less than 1 watt of mains power in standby mode, and meets power amplifier efficiency specifications with an analog-filtered Class-D digital output stage. The HD-PA35UA provides a front-panel control to set the input gain. An optional remote control connected to the rear-panel RJ45 jack provides for remote adjustment of the output level. The tone controls adjust the equalization at the amplifier output. The presence of a signal at the input causes the HD-PA35UA to fully turn on, activating the power amplifier and all associated equalization and compressor circuitry. When an input signal is absent, a delay timer is initiated. Rear-panel DIP switches are provided to set the power-down delay timer to a value between 10 minutes and 2 hours in 10 minute increments. After the time-out period, the HD-PA35UA enters the sleep mode until an input signal is received. The switches may be set to disable the sleep mode for systems specifying continuous amplifier operation. The amplifier includes an analog compressor/limiter for audio fidelity noticeably superior to conventional class D amplifiers with digital limiting. Increasing the input gain can substantially increase the average output power beyond that of a standard 35 watt amplifier. A red front-panel LED flashes when the compressor is preventing output clipping. Normal audio level signals remain unaffected by the compressor thereby preserving audio dynamics. The audio is compressed according to three dynamic time constants providing aural transparency while maintaining clean, unclipped amplified audio for input overloads of up to 20 dB. The HD-PA35UA, with compression, is capable of producing average audio output levels and clarity normally expected from amplifiers with a much higher output power rating. During power-up and power-down, the amplifier output is protected against clicks, pops and thumping by internal soft-start solid-state switches. A blue POWER LED illuminates when the HD-PA35UA is powered from its external 24 Vdc power supply (included). The power LED is dim when the amplifier is in the standby mode, and is bright when the amplifier is fully active. A front-panel pushbutton is provided to manually cycle between standby and active modes. The power amplifier is equipped with both thermal and output short-circuit protection. The high-efficiency Class D output stage produces minimal heat for all levels of expected voice or music modulation.
