Marshall Crenshaw Miracle of Science LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Released in 1996, Miracle of Science was the seventh studio album from Marshall Crenshaw. He chose to solely produce the album and play many of the instruments himself. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt; & quot;Crenshaw's first studio effort for the indie Razor & amp; Tie imprint also marks a return to his earlier, stripped-down approach of his debut album. Playing most of the instruments himself (including drums), there's a far more organic feel to the tunes presented here than his last major-label efforts. In addition to solid Crenshaw pop originals like & quot;What Do You Dream Of?, & quot; & quot;Laughter, & quot; and & quot;Starless Summer Sky, & quot; his takes on Dobie Gray's & quot;The 'In' Crowd & quot; and the countryish & quot;Who Stole That Train & quot; also show him as always to be a prime interpreter of other folks' great songs as well. & quot; & lt;/strong & gt; - Cub Koda, AllMusic & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;!--More features go here in & lt;li & gt; tags-- & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;musicians & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Musicians & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;table & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Marshall Crenshaw & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion, tambourine, vibraphone & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Brad Jones & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;bass, harmony vocals & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Andy York & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;guitar, backing vocals & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Jay Sdad & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;acoustic, electric and slide guitar, lap steel & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Bill Lloyd & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Les James Lester & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;drums, bongos & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Greg Leisz & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;dobro & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Byron House & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;bass & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Fenner Kastner & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;drums & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Kenny Margolis & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;piano & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Chris Carmichael & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;violin, cello & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Crispin Cioe & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;saxophone & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Larry Etkin & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;trumpet & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;!--More musician rows go here-- & gt; & lt;/table & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;(Soundbite) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;What Do You Dream Of? & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Who Stole That Train & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Only An Hour Ago & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Theme From & quot;Flaregun & quot; & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Laughter & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;A Wondrous Place & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol start= & quot;8 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;Twenty-Five Forty-One & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Starless Summer Sky & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The & quot;In & quot; Crowd & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;There And Back Again & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Rouh Na Selim Neves & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Seven Miles An Hour (Bonus Track) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Marshall Crenshaw #447 LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Eighth Studio Album Reissued On Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;#447 is Marshall Crenshaw's eighth studio album, originally released only on CD in 1999. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; #447 stands tall as one of his finest albums, as well as his most ambitious and perhaps perfectly realized. The big news is the wealth of great original material, plus Crenshaw's newfound interest in guitar textures, giving this album a complex weave of interesting tones that literally leap out of the mix. He's also playing a lot more guitar than on his early sides, including three delightful instrumentals. His style shows him to be something of a cross between Kenny Burrell, Danny Gatton, and Grant Green. But with Crenshaw, the pop hook's the thing, and tunes like 'Dime a Dozen Guy,' 'Television Light,' 'Glad Goodbye,' and 'Right There in Front of Me' do not disappoint. He hasn't sounded this confident and relaxed on a record in a long time, and this disc spotlights his talent in a way that makes you smile as you're singing along with a new song that you've never heard before - perhaps the highest praise of all. For his longtime fans, this is Marshall Crenshaw firing on all four cylinders, doing what he does best. & lt;footer & gt; -Cub Koda, AllMusic & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.nodepression.com & quot; & gt; In addition to his carefully crafted pop melodies, Crenshaw seems to have stumbled upon a new creative outlet, penning three jazzy instrumentals that play like soundtracks for movies yet to be filmed. He trades lightly swinging guitar licks with electric pianist David Sancious on 'Eydie's Tune' and 'You Said What??', and unleashes some Wes Montgomery-inspired octave riffing on the languid 'West Of Bald Knob'. & lt;footer & gt; -No Depression & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in the Czech Republic & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Opening (It's All About Rock) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Dime A Dozen Guy & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Television Light & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Glad Goodbye & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;West Of Bald Knob & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;T.M.D. & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Tell Me All About It & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Ready Right Now & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Eydie's Tune & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Right There In Front Of Me (demo) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;You Said What?? & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;
