Miles Davis The Lost Quintet 180g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;The Last Show Ever From This Amazing Lineup On 180g Vinyl LP! & lt;br & gt; Previously Unreleased Recording! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;The last performance of the lost quintet. The & quot;third great quintet & quot; by itself was never documented in the recording studio. Their European tour of 1969, represented on this LP, is one of only two existing recordings of the group; this is the final show, never released before. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;In 1969, Miles and his Quintet were on their European tour, promoting the Bitches Brew album. They recorded 4 live tracks in Rotterdam on November 9, a rare recording lost for many years. Now brilliantly remastered, these four tracks highlight Miles' ever-expanding progression in sound, developing on his Jazz-based roots into the more prominent Jazz/Rock fusion style that he latterly became known for. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt; & quot;Each of the musicians were soon to be regarded as giants of jazz fusion, they're called the 'lost quintet' because they never made any studio recordings as a fivesome. As flawed as this performance might be, this is a historic record of this unique quintet. Typical Miles to change at every opportunity as this recording sounds nothing like what's on Bitches Brew. Wayne Shorter on soprano and tenor saxophones; Chick Corea on Fender Rhodes piano; Dave Holland on bass and Jack DeJohnette on drums. This historic radio broadcast was the last one to feature this great line up. & quot; & lt;/strong & gt;- Gary Gillies & amp; Sean Gillies, Sleepy Night Records & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;4 previously unreleased live tracks & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Recorded in Rotterdam, November 9, 1969 & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Remastered & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;musicians & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Musicians & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;table & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Miles Davis & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;trumpet & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Dave Holland & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;bass & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Chick Corea & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;keyboard & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Wayne Shorter & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;sax & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Jack DeJohnette & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;drums & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;/table & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Directions & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Bitches Brew & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sanctuary & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Masqualero & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;
