Sam Cooke Night Beat Import LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt;
& lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;The King Of Soul On Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt;
& lt;/header & gt;
& lt;p & gt;Wax Love present a reissue of Sam Cooke's Night Beat, originally released in 1963. Sam Cooke, inventor and true King of Soul, recorded Night Beat in 1963, an album that was more bluesy and moodier than we had seen before from Cooke. Night Beat is an album
that approaches the music at a slow pace but is never lazy. It is easy-going without losing its keen sensibilities. & lt;/p & gt;
& lt;p & gt;Recorded in Hollywood, California on February 22, 25, 1963. & lt;/p & gt;
& lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt;
Cooke's voice took center stage on this admirably low-key session from February 1963, recorded in Los Angeles with a quartet of studio veterans. Unlike so many session crews and producers of the time, these musicians gave him plenty of space and often simply framed Cooke's breathtaking vocals. The results are wonderful - except for his early Soul Stirrers sides, Night Beat is the best place to marvel at one of the two or three best voices of the century... If Sam Cooke had lived longer, there would've been several more sessions like this, but Night Beat is an even richer treasure for its rarity.

Yma Sumac Mambo! Import LP (Vinyl)

& lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Mambo Grooves On Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt;
& lt;/header & gt;
& lt;p & gt;Wax Love presents a reissue of Yma Sumac's Mambo!, originally released in 1954 on Capitol Records. Mambo! was the fifth studio album by Peruvian soprano Yma Sumac. Most of the tracks were composed by her husband Mois & amp;#233;s Vivanco. & lt;/p & gt;
& lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt;
Capitol got on top of two '50s fads at once by issuing an album of Sumac tackling mambo. Yma (characteristically) held nothing back, and the result was one of her more enjoyable LPs, with respectably swinging mambo grooves crafted by Billy May. 'Five
Bottles Mambo' is one of her most astonishing vocal workouts, dropping into guttural growls that are downright bestial, and making one wonder how exactly they got away with that in the conservative milieu of the 1950s.

This wonderful LP compiles the best songwriting demos from that fruitful period. Along with early versions of stone cold classics like & quot;Masters Of War & quot;, & quot;Don't Think Twice, It's Alright & quot;, and & quot;The Times They Are-A-Changin' & quot;, this collection of a young Dylan at the start of his brilliant half-century plus career also includes long-forgotten beautiful obscurities like & quot;All Over You & quot;, and & quot;Walkin' Down The Line & quot;. Essential early demos from America's greatest 20th century songwriter. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Limited To 500 Copies & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Import & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. & lt;p & gt; & quot;Recorded on June 24, 1958 at the Van Gelder Studio in Hackensack, NJ, these sessions feature original compositions by Wilbur Harden (best known for his work with Yusef Lateef and John Coltrane) and hard-bop trombonist Curtis Fuller (best known for his
work with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and appearance on the classic Blue Trane album).The 32-year-old John Coltrane had only just recorded Blue Trane a year earlier and it is interesting to hear his style beginning to stretch out, as he makes his musical
transition from strict hard bop to the groundbreaking style that would become legendary the following year on Giant Steps, making Coltrane one of the biggest names in jazz. & quot; & lt;/p & gt;

He proposed that Dylan sign with the prestigious publisher M. Witmark & amp; Sons. Dylan signed a contract with Witmark on July 12 and immediately recorded a demo of what would become his breakthrough song, & quot;Blowin' in the Wind & quot;. Four months passed before Dylan returned to record another song, & quot;Ye Playboys and Playgirls & quot;, but the next month, in December, he showed up with many new compositions, including three that would become classics of his, & quot;A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall & quot;, & quot;Ballad of Hollis Brown & quot;, and & quot;Tomorrow Is a Long Time & quot;. All of Dylan's 1962 demos for Witmark are reproduced here on Wax Love. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Limited Edition Vinyl LP - Only 500 Copies! & lt;br & gt; Import & lt;br & gt; Made in Germany & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1.
