Unlike most compact systems that use a lightweight injection-molded cabinet off-the-shelf drivers and inexpensive digital amps the Discovery Z3 is engineered from the ground up. A solid MDF cabinet eliminates resonances while custom ELAC drivers make the Z3 sound like a system many times its sizeand cost.

Aramid fiber is employed in the Z3s dual 4" woofers. Aramid fiber offers a superior strength-to-weight ratio and improved damping characteristics over conventional paper or plastic drivers. This added strength means arriving at designs that achieve a broader bandwidth with smoother response.

Doing away with a traditional remote control a free smartphone/tablet application is available for download to simplify setup and allow for fine-tuning of the Discovery Z3.

The Discovery Z3 can be used as a stand-alone system or as a part of your whole-home Discovery Ecosystem which makes it easier than ever to add music to other rooms in the house all controlled with the Discovery Music Server application.
