The Metal Earth models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Each metal construction kit starts out as 4 inch square metal sheets and you simply pop out the pieces using wire cutters and follow the included directions to assemble your model. Before you begin your model building kit, thoroughly plan out and understand how your different pieces will come together. Folding any piece back and forth along a fold line more than 2 times could cause the piece to weaken or break. Recommended tools are: needle nose pliers, flat nose plies, clipper, and tweezers. Tools are not included. The F4U Corasiar Model - The F4U Corsair was the most capable carrier based fighter-bomber of World War II featured the largest engine available at the time: the 2,000 hp, 18-cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial. It was the first US warplane to exceed 400 mph in level flight. The plane featured an unusual inverted gull wing to keep the undercarriage short while allowing the use of the large diameter propeller demanded by the powerful engine.
