Porkchop had been snoopin around the backwoods of Georgia for while, looking for his next project. Well, it was one of those mid-summer Georgia afternoons and was hotter than the hinges on the gates of hell, and PC had the hammer down in his Bootleg ’66 Fairlane when his sharp eye caught a glimpse of a fender poking out of an old barn. What had he found? It was a genuine ’70 Boss 429 Mustang. Porkchop knew he had found his next project so he went up to the owner’s house and gave the door a knock. An old man came to the door gave him the typical "I plan on restoring it someday" response but Porkchop knew that was a flat out lie. Before the old man could get out another word, Porkchop whipped out some cash and made a deal. After shakin on it, PC told the old man that he'd be back in a bit and slid Bootleg sideways outta the driveway and headed to Pork Chop's Chop Shop to grab his ramp truck car hauler. A few hours later, Ole Pork was hookin up this Barnfind Boss to his ramp truck and the rest... well, the rest is history! Why is a 1968 Camaro with the D88 stripe package so rare? Chevrolet's factory manual shows that the D88 stripe package was introduced in December 1967 as an option for customers ordering their 1968 Camaro, but with little notice, Chevrolet cancelled the D88 stripe option in February 1968. So this lasted just 3 months and only a handful of Camaros made it off the assembly line with these stripes. This is why these Camaros have become so rare and have come to be known as Unicorn Camaros in the muscle car community.

When it comes to stripped-down pure-bred American drag racing classics, it really doesn't come any better than the rare 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II RO23 Lightweight.
In February of 1967, Chrysler developed and produced 55 very special Plymouths aimed at dominating the 1967 drag season. The Belvedere II RO23 was the result. The basic Belvedere hardtop was already a favorite among hot-rodders, and Chrysler's approach was very simple, take as much out of it as possible - and then add as much extra power as the rules would allow. Hundreds of pounds were lost as carpets were replaced by rubber mats and body insulation and sealer for the seams went too. There was no radio, not that you'd have been able to hear it. With a custom tuned version of Chrysler's hemispheric V8 featuring a custom cam and dual four-barrel carburetors breathing through a huge bonnet intake, there was 425hp available to the rear wheels, and a deep dark growl as the beast got underway. The result was a brutal 1/4 mile Plymouth that immediately made its mark!

Sebring has always been known for some fantastic races and the 1969 Sebring 12 Hour race was no exception! The Ickx and Oliver driven GT40 was considered a dark horse and barely qualified in the top ten among the field. The race went as planned for Ferrari and Porsche but as the race wore on the two rivals developed issues and the GT40 seized the opportunity to advance. After 9hrs the team had advanced to 4th place behind the Ferrari and Porsche rivals. In the final hours the rivals were forced to pit with mechanical issues and the GT40 took the lead in the final hour as the crew watched nervously as they did not expect the car to finish! Within the final minutes of the race they had to come in for a tire change and the Ferrari closed in to within 30 seconds but then overheated. Ickx and Oliver held on for the upset win. Tim Wellborn is a well known car collector in the Mopar world, able to find some of the nicest and rarest Mopars out there. After acquiring this '71 Cuda they went thru the extensive paperwork and came across the options sheet and were completely shocked at what they found. Listed between the red cap battery and Hemi power brake vacuum fitting option codes, was "V6W" White longitudinal sport stripes. So after adding some things up with the optioned Billboards, four-speed, black vinyl top and black interior makes this the only '71 Hemi Cuda made! Instantly they knew this car was something very special. By the end of the '71 market, just 62 cars had come with the four-speed transmission, and only one got the billboard side stripes in white. This was the one.
