Emerson, Lake & Palmer Trilogy LP (Vinyl)
& lt;b & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;A classic reissued on vinyl LP! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; After & quot;threatening & quot; audiences with their hard progressive blend of musical talent, advanced ideas, complicated song structures and deconstructionist theories applied to classical music, it was time for ELP to relax a little with 1972's Trilogy, a more commercially oriented and easy-to-listen-to work which soon became a much deserved mass success. With tracks like the suite-like & quot;Endless Enigma & quot; and Greg Lake's beautiful ballad & quot; From The Beginning & quot; we witness the changes in the direction of this trio that gave up a little of its rough energy for more carefully polished yet intriguing inventions. Emerson, Lake & Palmer Brain Salad Surgery LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Replica Of Original Gatefold Jacket with Die Cut! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Considered by many to be one of rock's original first super-groups, Emerson Lake & amp; Palmer formed in England in 1970 consisting of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (bass guitar, vocals, guitar) and Carl Palmer (drums, percussion). The band created a brand new world of music, combining classical and symphonic rock fused with beautiful vocals. Their penchant for appropriating themes from classical music and the group's more nuanced, textured approach to symphonic arrangements set ELP apart from their more bombastic guitar-based contemporaries of the time. This subtler and more sublime approach carries on today in the expansive atmospherics of Radiohead and Muse and also in the prog-influenced sphere of band's like Porcupine Tree, Dream Theatre, Opeth and many others, making ELP one of the more relevant torchbearers of the progressive rock sound. Along with Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, and Rush, Emerson Lake and Palmer ushered in the Prog era and as one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1970s having sold over 40 million albums. ELP's dramatic flair, sincere passion, labyrinthine song structures, and symphony-worthy virtuosity proved that classical rockers could compete for arena-scale audiences as the band headlined stadium tours around the world. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Emerson, Lake & amp; Palmer's most successful and well-realized album (after their first), and their most ambitious as a group, as well as their loudest, Brain Salad Surgery was also the most steeped in electronic sounds of any of their records. The main focus, thanks to the three-part & quot;Karn Evil 9, & quot; is sci-fi rock, approached with a volume and vengeance that stretched the art rock audience's tolerance to its outer limit, but also managed to appeal to the metal audience in ways that little of Trilogy did. Indeed, & quot;Karn Evil 9 & quot; is the piece and the place where Keith Emerson and his keyboards finally matched in both music and flamboyance the larger-than-life guitar sound of Jimi Hendrix. This also marked the point in the group's history in which they brought in their first outside creative hand, in the guise of ex-King Crimson lyricist Pete Sinfield... Greg Lake pulled out all the stops with his heaviest singing voice in handling them, coming off a bit like Peter Gabriel in the process. And amid Carl Palmer's prodigious drumming, it was all a showcase for Emerson, who employed more keyboards and more sounds here -- including electronic voices -- than had previously been heard on one of their records. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Bruce Eder, allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 140g Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Newly cut from the 24 bit/96khz master files & lt;br & gt; • 2014 Remaster of original 1973 LP & lt;br & gt; • Original Gatefold Sleeve & amp; Artwork, With Poster & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Keith Emerson, Hammond organs, piano, harpsichord, accordion, Moog Modular synthesizer, Moog Minimoog synthesizer, Moog Constellation polyphonic ensemble, & quot;computer & quot; vocals (Karn Evil 9: 3rd Impression) & lt;br & gt; Greg Lake, vocals, 6-string & amp; 12-string acoustic & amp; electric guitars, bass guitar & lt;br & gt; Carl Palmer, drums, percussion, gongs, timpani, percussion synthesizers & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The two covers are unique Ferry musical interpretations - a beautiful and lush take on Sondheim's & quot;Send In the Clowns & quot; and Robert Palmer's & quot;Johnny and Mary, & quot; a collaboration with the Norwegian DJ and producer Todd Terje, transformed into a melancholic hymn of love and loss. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Produced by Bryan Ferry and Rhett Davies and mixed by Craig Silvey, Avonmore is released on 180g vinyl in a gatefold jacket with limited edition lithograph. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold jacket & lt;br & gt; • Limited edition lithograph & lt;br & gt; • Includes download card & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Blame it on age: not only wouldn't the exuberance of & quot;Never Gonna Give You Up & quot; suit a man in his middle age but Astley's instrument has weathered with age, no longer quite as booming or insistent. Such changes actually benefit Astley, who is humanized by his years, especially as this light grit adds a little bit of heft to the immaculate adult pop of 50. His first set of original pop music since 2001's Keep It Turned On isn't especially in tune with the times -- it exists in an adult contemporary netherworld, sounding as if it could've been released any time between 1999 and 2016 -- but there's an appeal in how Astley settles into his voice and surroundings, allowing himself to indulge in a couple of ridiculous moments (the slightly bluesy, slightly stomping 'Somebody Loves Me') but generally luxuriating in his high thread count. It's not camp: there's no sign Astley cares -- or is even aware -- of his status as a classic Internet meme. 50 is earnest, rooted in American soul, and crafted to British pop specifications, a formula that once brought Astley fame and still suits him well. & quot; & lt;/b & gt;- Stephen Thomas Erlewine, allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Limited time download card include 2 bonus tracks & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side 1: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Since that time, those four (plus their two companions) have established themselves as mod pop classics. Here they are now in their glory - half a dozen slices of the young Bowie at his most endearing, mourning lost love and celebrating youthful promise, with his whole life ahead of him and fame still more than half a decade away. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Import & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Tracks: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Blondie Pollinator LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Heavyweight Vinyl LP! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Pollinator” is Rock And Roll Hall Of Famers Blondie’s 11th album. “Pollinator” has been two years in the making and follows on from 2014's 40th anniversary celebrations and the subsequent release of “Ghosts Of Download”. Alongside original band members Chris Stein, Debbie Harry and drummer Clem Burke, the album also features contributions from: Johnny Marr, Sia, Dev Hynes, Charli XCX, Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio), Nick Valensi (The Strokes) and The Gregory Brothers. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; You catch yourself when you ask Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, one of the most captivating creative pairings in music ever, about the creeping gentrification of New York City. You catch yourself because Blondie was formed during a 1970s era of urban decay – a time when the travails of being in a band, seeking an artistic outlet, or instigating a scene as a means of existence was a survival of the fittest among streets of heightened crime and social unrest. Certainly, those 1970s New York streets have been glamorized in the onslaught of retrospective looks at the punk, new wave, disco and hip-hop scenes that found their fundamental roots in that era. But it certainly wasn’t an easier time to live there. The challenges and intensity of the city were just different. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Blondie emerged the fittest. They’ve outlived the groundbreaking moment that birthed them and have adapted to time, space and industry evolution as much as the face of New York itself. Walk into any dance club tonight and hear a ‘Call Me’ or a ‘Heart Of Glass’. Talk to any hip-hop historian and recall that Debbie was an original Beastie Boy who took rap music to the masses when it was still a block party concern. Read any tome on the history of punk and they’re interwoven into the fabric of the one genre that still inspires most and every band to pick a name and find a practice space. Their active presence in our lives 40 million albums sales and countless accolades later (including a Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction in 2006 and NME Godlike Genius Award in 2014) isn’t something anyone wants to take advantage of. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; That’s what their 11th album ‘Pollinator’ sets out to establish. In true pop art fashion it’s as post-modern as a concept gets and the perfect way to move on from 2014’s 40th anniversary celebrations and the subsequent release of ‘Ghosts Of Download’. In ‘Pollinator’ exists a giant feedback loop – one in which Blondie created, then generations were inspired, then those generation created and inspired, and are now teaming up with Blondie. When the time came for Chris, Debbie and drummer Clem Burke to “get the band back together” and make an album, choice pioneers from the decades since Blondie’s birth were called upon to contribute songs for the record, thereby weaving their own way into the living, breathing story of the band, a group that directly affected their own genetic makeup. The list is enviable and reflects the dynamism of Blondie’s very own cross-pollinating past: Johnny Marr, Sia, Dev Hynes, Charli XCX, Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio), Nick Valensi (The Strokes) and The Gregory Brothers all lent their creations for Blondie to interpret, each building upon the aspect of their heroes that’s bolstered their own sound. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Heavyweight Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Limited time download code & lt;br & gt; • Explicit lyrics & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Classical Album On Double LP! & lt;br & gt; Etching On 4th Side! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Tony Banks & lt;/b & gt; revisits his 'other' life – that of an orchestral composer, as opposed to keyboardist, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and a founding member of rock band & lt;b & gt;Genesis & lt;/b & gt; – with the new project '5'. A Rock & amp; Roll Hall of Fame inductee as a member of Genesis (2010), '5' is Banks' tenth album outside of the band and his third orchestral album following the releases of 'Seven: A Suite for Orchestra' (2004) and 'Six Pieces for Orchestra' (2012). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; '5' is a collection of five compositions written by Tony Banks and was produced by long-time collaborator Nick Davis. Nick Ingman, renowned orchestrator and conductor, agreed to be involved in the project immediately after hearing the demos played to him personally by Banks. Ingman has worked with a plethora of artists and musicians from David Bowie and Oasis to the London Symphony Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The recording was built up over various sessions, the first in London's Angel Studios where solos and percussion were recorded before a transfer to Prague for a week where concentrated sets of three sessions a day with the orchestra and choir. Recording section by section is a more rock/pop method and seen as unorthodox for an orchestral album, but this method allowed Banks, who also played all of the piano parts, to use his vast musical experience and give himself greater creative control. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The impetus for '5' was a commission for the 70th Cheltenham Music Festival in 2014, for which Banks composed the original version of what now appears as the opening track, & quot;Prelude to a Million Years & quot;. Then it was entitled & quot;Arpegg & quot; and received its world première on Saturday July 5, 2014, with Maxime Tortelier conducting the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Following some consideration, Banks and Davis worked on four further pieces to join & quot;Arpegg & quot; and form this new album. Feeling incomplete as an album of four compositions, Banks pulled inspiration from an earlier piece composed during his Genesis days and named it & quot;Renaissance & quot; which completed the album. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot; This really shows his deep connection with his instrument and both is knowledge and love of the music. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Classic Rock Revisited & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold jacket & lt;br & gt; • Etched 4th Side & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Czech National Symphony Orchestra and Choir & lt;br & gt; Nick Ingman, conductor & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side One: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Instead of attempting to recapture the orchestral alt-rock that made the band famous, Eat the Elephant opts for a pensive collection of songs driven as much by Howerdel's piano heroics as his facility with a guitar. The record also provides a cathartic outlet for Keenan's more-direct-than-ever frustrations; whether targeted at feckless leaders ( & quot;TalkTalk & quot;) or smartphone addicts ( & quot;Disillusioned & quot;), his rage is righteous and powered by some of the prettiest pure singing of his entire catalog. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Consequence Of Sound & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold jacket & lt;br & gt; • Limited time download card & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side 1: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;1970 Debut Album Reissued On Vinyl LP! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Originally released in 1970, the debut album from the then newly formed supergroup combined musicianship and showmanship in a glowing ball of energy. The keyboard-dominated instrumentals and romantic ballads clearly showcased each of the three members' individual talents, and demonstrated the variety of influences each artist brought with them to the band. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot; This album, which reached the Top 20 in America and got to number four in England, showcased the group at its least pretentious and most musicianly... there is a lot of impressive musicianship here. & quot;Take a Pebble & quot; might have passed for a Moody Blues track of the era but for the fact that none of the Moody Blues' keyboard men could solo like Keith Emerson. Even here, in a relatively balanced collection of material, the album shows the beginnings of a dark, savage, imposingly gothic edge that had scarcely been seen before in so-called & quot;art rock, & quot; mostly courtesy of Emerson's larger-than-life organ and synthesizer attacks. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Bruce Eder, allmusic.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • New 24 Bit/96khz remaster of the original 1971 LP & lt;br & gt; • Mastered from the original tapes & lt;br & gt; • Original gatefold sleeve & amp; artwork & lt;br & gt; • Forward on the LP audio by Greg Lake & lt;br & gt; • Live music & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Keith Emerson & lt;br & gt; Greg Lake & lt;br & gt; Carl Palmer & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side 1: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. 'Let Me Fly' is the 8th studio album from the band and returns to the early Mechanics sound. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Formed in 1985 by Genesis founding member Mike Rutherford, Mike + The Mechanics released their first album in 1985 and have gone on to achieve an enviable string of hit singles and albums. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Even inside Genesis, Mike Rutherford’s forte has always been his melodic songwriting. With the successful side project Mike & amp; the Mechanics, the artist managed to find a further way to express himself working with other composers and different teams. Since 1985, Mechanics became a brand in their own, releasing seven albums, selling more than 10 million records, launching many hit singles and touring worldwide with a two frontmen led band. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The sudden death of one of the original singers, Paul Young, needed a period of adjustment but, after one experimental album with Paul Carrack as the only vocalist, Rutherford changed the face to the band recruiting two new singers, Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1.
