Remastered & Released On Vinyl LP!
The 7th album from the iconic prog rock group, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Love Beach was released in 1978. It would be their last album of original material until 1992's Black Moon.
The album finds the band back to their intimate best, producing a lighter, more concise and accessible album, with the band jamming in the relaxed atmosphere of a studio in Nassau, Bahamas. As usual, ELP produced an excellent, technically accomplished mix of classical music and electronics, once again unearthing their extraordinary musical chemistry. Includes fans' / live favorites 'The Gambler' and the hard-rocking 'Canario' (based on Rodrigo's 'Fantasia Para Un Gentilhombre'). Side 2 is taken up by the superb 'Memoirs Of An Officer And A Gentleman' one of their finest suites, highlighting voice, piano, and marching drums.
Formed in London in 1970, the group consisted of Keith Emerson on keyboards, Greg Lake as vocalist and bassist, and Carl Palmer performing drum and percussion duties. They were one of the most successful prog rock bands in the 1970s with influences of classical, jazz and symphonic rock elements.
The LP is the complete, remastered original album, with original sleeve artwork replicated. Features a foreword on the 140 gram LP format by Greg Lake.
