Breedlove’s Sound Optimization process enables them to sand their densest hard wood, cocobolo, to a thinness that delivers incredible power and depth. The salvaged Adirondack spruce top is fined-tuned to give a deflection that brings this Concertina to life. Like Sitka, Adirondack spruce has strong fundamentals and responds well to either a light or firm touch, but has higher resonance and exhibits a more complex overtone content. Adirondack is relatively heavy, with a high-velocity sound, and has the highest stiffness of all top woods across and along the grain. The Breedlove Legacy Concertina is comfortable to play, a joy to hear and beautiful to look at.
