The RocketStor 6418AS is an affordable Hardware RAID 5/6 Storage with an "open-box” approach to storage applications. Customers can use their choice of SAS or SATA drive; SSD's for performance or large hard disks for maximum capacity, from all major drive brands. The stylish, brushed aluminum chassis features 2 external 6Gb/s Mini-SAS ports & 8 removable drive bays, which support any 2.5 ”/ 3.5 ” Enterprise/NAS class SATA/SAS HDD or SSD of your choice, & up to 64TB in H/W RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 & JBOD arrays!
Superior Performance: Our industry proven hardware RAID-on-Chip architecture incorporates dedicated ARM based processors & RAID5/6 CRC32 engines with internal DDR3 memory to optimize transfer speeds, accelerate access times & work independently to minimize the storage configuration's impact on system resources. Our innovative DV Mode Technology intelligently manages the flow of large data blocks & write-back caching in order to minimize latency & ensure consistent, sustained high-performance transfers for media-rich applications.
Uncompromised Data Availability & Integrity: Administrators can initialize or schedule RAID verification sessions that check each disk or parity consistency; if any problems are found, the RocketStor will immediately rebuild the array to ensure the integrity of your data. Storage Health Inspector (SHI) proactively examines each disk for failed sectors, and Dynamically Repair or Remap disks on the fly to keep your storage ready and able. Available Battery Backup Units (BBU) can secure valuable data for up to 72 hours in the event of a power outage. Integrated NVRAM with write journaling constantly tracks in-progress writes to preserve the integrity of RAID parity in the event of a system crash or sudden loss of power.
User Friendly Management Suite: The intuitive, user-friendly web-based management interface is available for Windows, Mac OSX, & Linux operating systems. In addition, CLI packages are available for Linux & FreeBSD.
