3D Stuffmaker’s Simple Print™ PLA is specially formulated to print exceptionally well in 95% of all PLA based printers. The colors choices we offer are used by ourselves in-house and are fine-tuned to give excellent prints. If you have not already tried them- you would be amazed at the difference.
PLA (corn starch plastic) is an ideal material to use in 3D printers. It is pleasant to work with, available clear as well as colored. It is quite pleasant smelling during printing and produces no noxious fumes. It is considered safe with food products and has medical bio neutral uses.
Colored PLA is stronger and prints better than optically clear PLA. It is somewhat self lubricating when in sliding contact with metal surfaces. Clear PLA is suitable for investment castings.
PLA vaporizes leaving no char. It will not degrade but breaks down if you compost it. In normal use it is quite stable, but also kinder on the environment.
