Toni Harper's First Two Albums on 180g Double Vinyl!
Lost Voice collects two of jazz vocalist and child star Toni Harper's albums on a 180g 2LP set. The two albums included are Toni, released in 1956, and Lady Lonely, released in 1959. Toni was recorded when Harper was only 17 years old. For the album's collection of standards, Harper was joined by Oscar Peterson (piano), Herb Ellis (guitar), Ray Brown (bass) and Alvin Stoller (drums). Her follow-up, Lady Lonely, featured orchestral backing arranged and conducted by Marty Paich.
Harper has performed with artists that include Cab Calloway, the Oscar Peterson trio, Cannonball Adderley and Herb Jeffries.
