The 'Evo' is the sporty version of the 'Mitsu' saloon. From 1992, and for more than 10 years, they defended the colours of the Japanese marque on the special stages of the World Rally Championship. Between 1992 and 2005, Mitsubishi won 4 drivers' titles and 1 manufacturers' title! The success story began in 1996 with the EVO III, when Finnish driver Tommi Mäkinen won his first title. This victory inevitably attracted many rally fans to the production version, which developed 270bhp thanks to its turbocharged engine. The car's aerodynamics have been completely reworked compared with the EVO II.
