Blood, Sweat & Tears are truly a worldwide gift to rock and jazz fusion enthusiasts everywhere. Over four decades in the music business and still going strong, their hit albums and top charting singles continue to captivate millions of fans all over the globe.
In 1971, BS&Ts lead vocalist David Clayton-Thomas and the Grammy Award winning era line-up of the superstar outfit entered into the studio for their first smash recording sessions. Armed with a plethora of great new sons, they continued their hit steak with another Top 10 chart hit album Blood, Sweat, & Tears 4.
Featuring great hit singles and top album tracks, the masterpiece had enough traction to be called a greatest hits album in its own right. To get things started, B,S & T 4 included the hard rockin smash Go Down Gamblin and the top 40 classic Mama Gets High. Even their founding member Al Kooper contributes one of their greatest tunes with his powerful John The Baptist.
For B, S & T 4, the sound was new and exciting. David Clayton Thomas voice was thrilling, the horns meshed with rock and roll, Bobby Colombys power drumming, fusing with Steve Katzs amazing guitar work all made the B, S & T 4 album soar to the top ten. All in all, making this one of the most revered albums.
