It is comprised of songs that Gil chose from his back catalogue, just voice and piano. Each song he chose was from a different album of his. He carefully curated the selection, so this album serves as an excellent introduction to his previous output.
Originally released for RSD 2014 as a limited edition of 2,000 copies with silk screen covers, this has now been repressed on black vinyl as a companion piece to the current Gil Scott-Heron Makaya McCraven release, We're New Again.
