Sarah Harmer Are You Gone LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;First New Album In A Decade On Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Multi-award-winning, platinum-selling singer-songwriter and environmental activist Sarah Harmer releases Are You Gone, her first album in a decade, on February 21st, 2020 (Arts & amp; Crafts). A deeply personal and political collection of songs motivated by the beauty of life, the urgency of the climate crisis, and the question of loss, Sarah called the album a spiritual successor of sorts to her acclaimed 2000 debut, You Were Here, which made many year-end critics' lists, and which TIME called the year's best debut album. With its simple title, Are You Gone, is a meditation on the idea of presence, a sharpened, more electric confrontation with the realities of nature and human nature. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Encompassing a stylistic range from barebones folk to layered indie rock, lead track & quot;New Low & quot; captures the prescient energy of the album - a rollicking, empowering electric guitar-laced call-for-uprising in the face of global disasters. Album opener & quot;St. Peter's Bay & quot; blends melancholic vocals and smooth atmospherics to effectively conjure the feeling and image of standing at dusk overlooking an endless sea, while & quot;Take Me Out & quot; is a modern, punchy alt-rock take on the near impossibility of letting go. & quot;What I Was To You & quot; is a tribute to her lifelong friend Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip, and psychedelic-tinged piano ballad & quot;The Lookout & quot; tackles the angst of love-across-timezones. Penultimate track & quot;Shoemaker & quot;, about Sarah discovering an old book and census of her great great Glaswegian grandfather, calls to mind the gently ominous, slowly shifting chords of Sparklehorse before transforming into a gorgeous, almost-crescendoing show of Sarah's vocal range. & quot;See Her Wave & quot; wraps the album with an acoustic goodbye written in memoriam to another friend who moved on. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/i_Z-PrmqNjw & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in Canada & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;St. Peter's Bay & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;New Low & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Just Get Here & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Take Me Out & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Squeaking Voices & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;What I Was To You & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Lookout & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wildlife & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Cowbirds & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Little Frogs & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Shoemaker & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;See Her Wave & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Breakout 2000 Solo Album On Vinyl LP For The First Time! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;You Were Here was Sarah Harmer's commercial breakthrough in Canada after years of almost reaching the pop charts with the band Weeping Tile. The album's first big hit, & quot;Basement Apt. & quot;, had previously been a Weeping Tile song, appearing on that band's 1995 release eepee. Harmer also had a hit with & quot;Don't Get Your Back Up & quot;, which she had previously recorded with The Saddletramps. Three other songs, & quot;Weakened State & quot;, & quot;Lodestar & quot; and & quot;Coffee Stain & quot;, had also been previously recorded by Weeping Tile, on 1998's This Great Black Night. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The album's title track is a tribute to her former Weeping Tile bandmate Joe Chithalen, who died in 1999. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;First time on vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in Canada & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Around This Corner & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Basement Apt. & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Hideout & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Capsized & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lodestar & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Weakened State & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;7 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;Don't Get Your Back Up & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Open Window (the wedding song) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Uniform Grey & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Coffee Stain & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;You Were Here & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Everytime & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

It features her personal, home-recorded renditions of several of his favorite pop and country standards. Harmer's friends and family convinced her to release it independently in 1999; following her commercial breakthrough in 2000 with You Were Here, the album was re-released in Canada. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;First time on vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in Canada & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Blue Moon Of Kentucky & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Tennessee Waltz & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Black Coffee & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Stormy Weather & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Oh Bury Me Not & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Just A Closer Walk With Thee & lt;/li & gt; & lt;!--More tracks go here in & lt;li & gt; tags-- & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol start= & quot;7 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;Shine On Harvest Moon & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Trouble In The Fields & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Your Cheatin' Heart & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Summertime & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; Sentimental Journey & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt; O, My Beloved Father & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Jason Collett Best Of LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Career-Spanning Collection On Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Jason Collett has worn many hats over a story-filled career now spanning twenty years. Springing from Broken Social Scene, the indie folk troubadour has captured a view of his surroundings with a worldly, neighborly tone entirely his own. This 13-track Best Of is a collection of his songs that crystallize moments from an ever-changing era, vital threads that connect us to our musical city and family. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The career-spanning collection is spearheaded by the singer-songwriter's first new recording since 2016's Song And Dance Man. & quot;Crab Walking Home In The Rain & quot; was arranged and produced by beloved indie folk artist Andy Shauf (his first production for another artist) and, according to Collett, is & quot;a reflection on the changes I've seen my neighborhood, in Toronto's west end, go through over the years. & quot; Since the release of his official solo debut, 2003's Motor Motel Love Songs, Collett has in honeyed tones and measured style soundtracked a hazy day-drive by the alt-countryside. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Jason Collett appears every few years with a new songbook of sharp-witted musical commentary, each with a unique sonic tilt. Idols Of Exile, released in 2006, was the first album to fully confirm his potency as a storyteller, and cemented Collett's penchant for collaboration, both as a cohesive band leader and a cunning curator. His albums have featured contributions from luminaries of the indie world such as Bahamas, Feist, as well as members of Stars, The Stills, Zeus and more. From the energetic guitar-led Here's To Being Here (2008), to the roots-inflected Rat A Tat Tat (2010), Collett has woven each release with vital chronicles of Canadiana. From the political injection of Reckon (2012) to the hip-swaying edge of Song And Dance Man (2016), Collett has evolved without hardly aging, a testament to the power of simplicity and writing in reverence to the word, and the world. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in Canada & lt;/li & gt; & lt;!--More features go here in & lt;li & gt; tags-- & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Bitter Beauty & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Blue Sky & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Fire & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Hangover Days & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I'll Bring The Sun & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Charlyn, Angel Of Kensington & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Through The Night These Days & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lake Superior & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Love Is A Dirty Word & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;My Daddy Was A RocknRoller & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Song And Dance Man & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Love You Babe & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Crab Walking Home In The Rain & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;
