Fleetwood Mac Mr. Wonderful LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;2nd Album Reissued On Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Mr. Wonderful is the second studio album by British blues rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on 23 August 1968. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Long before they became the multi-platinum chart toppers of 70's rock, Fleetwood Mac, anchored by guitarist Peter Green, were a pillar in the 1960's London blues scene. The band was founded in 1967 by Green and drummer Mick Fleetwood, along with guitarist Jeremy Spencer and bassist John McVie, with the band's name derived from their rhythm section. Three of the members (Green, Fleetwood, McVie) were all alumni of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Playing straight up blues, the band have often become referred to as & quot;Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac & quot; to distinguish them from the later iteration of the group, recording two albums for Blue Horizon - the self-titled release in April 1968, and Mr Wonderful in August of the same year, along with the compilation The Pious Bird of Good Omen, a collection of singles, B-sides and assorted other tracks. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; Achieving success from the start, the debut from Fleetwood Mac peaked at #4 in the Top 40, going on to spend the better part of a year in the charts. Meanwhile, the & quot;Albatross & quot; single, released in November of 1968 and also featured on the Pious album, became the band's first #1 in England (and to this day, Fleetwood Mac's only chart-topping single). The original foursome of Green-McVie-Fleetwood-Spencer were joined later in this era by third guitarist Danny Kirwan, who debuted on the & quot;Albatross & quot; single, and Christine Perfect (later McVie) on keyboards. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; In addition to & quot;Albatross, & quot; the Pious album also featured the single & quot;Black Magic Woman, & quot; later brought to widespread acclaim by Santana. Along with the two studio releases, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac also recorded the album Blues Jam in Chicago, live at the Chess Records studios in Chicago, featuring a host of blues legends including Willie Dixon, Otis Spann and Buddy Guy, with the LP released late in 1969. Fleetwood Mac would go on to sign to Reprise Records, with Peter Green leaving the group in 1970. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.faroutmagazine.co.uk & quot; & gt; The way the band recorded this one, was merely by miking the room up, the amps and the PA speakers, instead of plugging through an interface board and giving the sound a proper mix and mastering. When listening to this one on vinyl, what you're hearing is pure raw rock and roll. It says a lot about a band that can do this well. & lt;footer & gt; -Drew Wardle, Far Out Magazine & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Remastered & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in USA & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side 1: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Stop Messin' Round & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I've Lost My Baby & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Rollin' Man & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Dust My Broom & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Love That Burns & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Doctor Brown & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side 2: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Need Your Love Tonight & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;If You Be My Baby & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Evenin' Boogie & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lazy Poker Blues & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Coming Home & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Trying So Hard To Forget & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Green's always inspired playing, the capable (if erratic) songwriting, and the general panache of the band as a whole placed them leagues above the overcrowded field. & lt;footer & gt; -Richie Unterberger, AllMusic.com, 4.5/5 stars & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Remastered & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Made in USA & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;musicians & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Musicians & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;table & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Peter Green & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;vocal, guitar, harmonica & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Jeremy Spencer & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;vocal, slide-guitar, piano & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;John McVie & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;bass & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Mick Fleetwood & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;drums & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;tr & gt; & lt;th & gt;Bob Brunning & lt;/th & gt; & lt;td & gt;bass on & quot;Long Grey Mare & quot; & lt;/td & gt; & lt;/tr & gt; & lt;/table & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side One: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;My Heart Beat Like A Hammer & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Merry Go Round & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Long Grey Mare & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Hellhound On My Trail & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Shake Your Moneymaker & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Looking For Somebody & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side Two: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;No Place To Go & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;My Baby's Good To Me & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I Love Another Woman & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Cold Black Night & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The World Keeps On Turning & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Got To Move & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;
