You can use it for Automatic Packet Reporting Systems (APRS) and it is compatible with many Marine Radios for position plotting and reporting and it has an industry-standard NMEA 0183 output with an SIRF III Chipset for rapid satellite acquisition. It's also WAAS capable for superior location accuracy.
