2019 Grammy Award Nominee: • Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media
Officer K (Ryan Gosling) is a new blade runner for the LAPD who unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. This leads him to search for Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who's been missing for 30 years.
The music for the soundtrack to the 2017 released film was composed by Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch, and also includes a song co-written and performed by Grammy-nominated artist Lauren Daigle.
Where Zimmer's previous soundtrack, for The Dark Knight, delivered chaos and disintegration, his Blade Runner 2049 score reflects emptiness and loss. It is every bit as compelling.
