MOTU 828X Thunderbolt/USB 28x30 Audio Interface

The MOTU 828X Audio Interface provides 32-bit mixing for all 28 inputs and 30 outputs with on-board DSP effects. Connect any of your instruments or mics through the interface and record with no latency or extra strain on your computer. Well-ConnectedIts front panel has two combo XLR/TRS mic/guitar inputs going into MOTU' s clean, high-headroom preamps, Two headphone jacks with volume control, digitally controlled trim with gain control, pads & 48V phantom power.   Completing the unit is 8 balanced TRS analog in/out, two banks of optical (ADAT and TOSLink formats), S/PDIF (coax) digital I/O, dedicated main outs on XLRs, -20 dB pad, and V-Limit™, a smooth hardware limiter that also provides additional protection with MOTU' s own Soft Clip™ feature.

All analog inputs on the MOTU 828X are have digital analog trim controls with 1 dB increments. The mic/guitar input trims can be adjusted on the front-panel digital knobs that show on the LCD display and all TRS 1/4-inch inputs can be trimmed through MOTU' s powerful CueMix FX software. Different trim configurations can be saved as files on disk for instant recall and, as with other CueMix-supported interfaces, you can   operate CueMix FX from your iPad, with support for both Mac and PC. Further sculpt your sound with 7-band parametric EQ featuring filter types carefully modeled after British analog console EQs. Choose between two forms of compression:   a conventional compressor and the Leveler™,   an accurate model of the legendary LA-2A™ optical compressor that provides vintage,   musical automatic gain control. Analyze and scope any mono or stereo audio stream with advanced diagnostic tools, including a full-screen real-time FFT display, spectrogram “waterfall” display, full-featured oscilloscope, X-Y plot, and linear/polar phase analysis graphs. Pre-programmed Operation Wherever You GoThe 828x can also be used as a standalone digital mixer. After programming the on-board mixing in the studio, unplug the 828x from the computer and take it on the road for operation as a stand-alone mixer with effects. All mixing and effects parameters are adjustable using the front panel backlit LCD.
