The Pentax K-7 is a DSLR that works as hard as you do, and it will do it in almost any conditions. The camera chassis is made of high-rigidity stainless-steel alloy and its housing is made of durable but lightweight magnesium-steel alloy so it can handle all you dish out, while letting you travel light. The body is protected by 77 seals to keep out moisture and dust and make for an operational range down to -10°C. If some dust does happen to get in during lens changes, the advanced sensor coating and dust removal system will take care of it before you take a shot.
Over the last 60 years of producing cameras Pentax has made over 24 million lenses and all of them will work with the K-7. Of course, the older screw mount lenses will require an adapter. So use one of the new specially designed for digital lenses or pull out an old favorite.
The K-7 has a 14.6MP sensor for spectacularly detailed images. The sensor is integrated into a Shake Reduction system that is so effective you can increase your handheld shooting by up to 4 stops. A LiveView LCD screen on the back lets you see what the lens sees without having to have use the eyepiece. When you are ready to take your photography to the next level, Pentax will be waiting.
