The president and chief director of the Canadian Association of Medical Spas and Aesthetic Surgeons, Dr. Dariush Honardoust, has trained and worked in Canada since 1996. His main interests in the field of aesthetic medicine include nonsurgical face and body contouring, therapeutic and cosmetic Botulinum toxin treatment, dermal fillers, chemical peels, Platelet-rich Plasma Therapy, Radiofrequency mediated collagen treatment, PDO Facial and Thread Lift and laser cosmetics. His research interests include development of an innovative engineered skin and characterizing the role of small leucine-rich proteoglycans (SLRPs) in the prevention of hypertrophic scar formation after burn, traumatic, acne, and surgical wounds, as well as dermal scars after cosmetic laser operations. Dr. Honardoust has been conducting his research in wound healing and tissue regeneration and received his doctorate specialty in craniofacial/from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Colombia, and postdoctoral training from the Department of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery, University of Alberta, Canada. He is also a consultant-advisor in the aesthetic medicine for some Canadian and USA investment firms.
