Theres nothing worse than not having information during a power outage, storm or other natural disaster. It is critical to have a weather radio with excellent reception that you can depend on. The CC Solar Observer is a wind-up emergency radio with AM/FM, the 7 NOAA weather channels, and a built-in 3-LED flashlight.
Four dependable power sources: 1. Crank the radio by hand 2. Use the included AC adapter to charge the battery pack 3. Put it in the sun with the solar panel open 4. Run it using the 3 optional AA batteries (not included) Listen to the superior audio of the CC Solar Observer through its built-in 2-inch speaker or headphone jack for private stereo listening. The radio is tuned by a simple needle and dial, and the analog display is easy to read. The display light can be turned on or off or turn on the flashlight by the same switch. For the radios optimum operation, its a good idea to "cycle" the battery pack every 4 to 6 months if you are going to store the radio and use it only for emergencies. This keeps the rechargeable batteries conditioned to take a charge once you are ready to use the radio. Please note that this radio does not have NOAA Weather Alert or S. A. M. E. functions.
