Directions
Cooking:
To retain vitamins do not rinse before or drain after cooking. On the Stove Top: 1. Place 1 cup of rice in a saucepan. 2. Add 1-3/4 cups of water, bring to a boil and stir. 3. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 40 minutes, or until moisture is absorbed. 4. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. 5. Fluff with fork and serve.
In the Rice Cooker:
1. Place 2 cups of rice into rice cooker. 2. Add water to 3 cup line on rice cooker. 3. Stir rice, close lid and start cooker. 4. When cooking ends, let stand covered for 5 minutes. 5. Fluff with fork and serve. Cooking Time: 35 minutes (firm); 40 minutes (soft).
Serving Guide:
1/2 cup uncooked rice serves 1 person.
1 cup uncooked rice serves 2 people.
2 cups uncooked rice served 4 people.
