Vinyl LP Cut by Kevin Gray & Pressed at Quality Record Pressings!
The old-time bluesman persona adopted by Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton is reflected in his dress: Pressed overalls, a starched shirt and a vest. He discovered his love for music as his grandmother sang around the house. His music is as authentic as his look. Ask him about his song writing and singing and he'll respond that what he does is hokum a little comedy and a lot of fun.
This exemplary musician shows off his skills here on the grand piano, but he's just as capable on the fiddle, banjo and guitar. He picked up licks from the Reverend Gary Davis, and tunes from Fats Waller, Art Tatum and others, through 78s downloaded from the Internet. He's always searching for new songs and new ideas. And at just 23 years of age when these tracks were cut, Paxton will have audiences enthralled for a long time to come, we'll wager.
