The Metabo KH 5-40, 1-9/16 in. SDS-MAX Combination Rotary Hammer is designed to offer the professional power tool user high performance and reliability for heavy duty use on construction and industrial work sites. The powerful 10 Amp motor delivers fast drilling and powerful chiseling in tough concrete and masonry applications. The Metabo S-Automatic mechanical safety slip clutch disengages the drill in the event that a bit binds or jams to help prevent kick-back. A large, easy to use selector switch allows two modes of operation: hammer drilling and chiseling. The tool features a heavy duty die-cast aluminum gear-housing for maximum durability. For compliance with OSHA Respirable Crystalline Silica standards or Table 1 compliance standards, Metabo’s full line of concrete tools are designed for use with Metabo dust extraction attachments and vacuums. When used correctly they meet or exceed OSHA silica standards.
