The PIO-102 general purpose input/output (GPIO) module enables the professional integrator to orchestrate digital signage content with sensors and attenuators including buttons, motion sensors, optical detectors, relays, lighting, etc. Using the GPIO module, you can create an immersive multimedia experience that truly impresses the audience. This device can be programmed to emulate keycodes, mouse buttons and joystick buttons . Supports all Major operating systems (32 and 64 bit). Simple plug and play USB compliant device. Uses the systems USB HID driver, no drivers to load. Self Powered from the USB port. The GPIO module can be used for building interactive kiosks with buttons. Alternatively, the module can be connected to a motion sensor or proximity sensor to trigger video playback when people comes close to the screen. Simple Integration PIO-102 requires the minimal amount of external circuitry by using simple open-close circuits on the input and output ports. To drive an input signal, simply short the input pin to ground. To drive a device with an output signal, simply use the output pin as a path to ground which opens and closes depending on output state (open-drain). System Requirements USB 1.1 or 2.0 connection between host computer and the PoKeys56U device (power is provided via USB) Included software requires Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 with .NET framework 3.5 (only for systems where the devices will be configured; the target system needs no software installation for the device to operate as a standard USB keyboard and joystick)
