The Michael Sweet J40SCE signature Washburn acoustic-electric guitar features a jumbo body shape and extra depth, which is loud and clear, with a well-pronounced bass tone that most acoustics lack. When working to create the Michael Sweet signature acoustic-electric, Washburn knew that players, including Sweet, wanted a big, booming tone that can cut through other instruments. Best known as the guitar player for Stryper, Sweet needed an acoustic-electric that would work when playing live, recording or writing. This performance-first foundation has been enhanced visually with a solid Bearclaw spruce top, highly figured quilted maple back and sides, along with an ornate combination of inlays, rosette and body binding. If need to get a little louder, it also has integrated Barcus Berry electronics. Plugged in or unplugged, this Washburn acoustic-electric is ready to roll.
