Important Details about this product (read first) Alfa Tube-4G v2 is not a Wi-Fi Extender, it is for 4G/Cellular data only and requires a SIM card and line of service from a provider to operate. It does not boost voice call reception or signal, only the 4G data. Alfa Tube-U4G Global helps increase your 4G data signal. If you subscribe to a wireless data package with its own SIM card for use in a 4G USB modem from either AT&T, Verizon, Visible, or T-Mobile, you can put the SIM inside the Tube-U4G v2 USB WiFi modem, and attach that with the included USB cable to your Microsoft Windows PC. The Tube-U4G can pull in a cellular data signal from a nearby tower often stronger than your phone's 4G data signal and is ideal for use in places where your phone or current USB 4G modem gets a very weak signal, such as 1 bar. If you are so far from a tower your phone cannot get any 4G LTE signal inside or right outside your structure, this product may not work. It is not Satellite based and you must have a cellular tower for your carrier somewhere in the area. This does not boost signal for voice calls or SMS/MMS, just 4G data. Think of it as a USB 4G modem on steroids. This requires you be a customer of AT&T, Verizon, Visible, or T-Mobile with a wireless data plan that has its own SIM card. This does not work off data GBs that come with your normal cell phone plan. You must have a separate wireless broadband data package from one of these carriers with its own SIM card. Though you can pull the SIM from your phone and use that, this means you will not be able to send or receive voice calls while your SIM is in this ALFA modem.
