- The Krauss-Maffei Leopard 2A7 Tank is a variant of the Leopard 2 tank that was developed for the German Army. The Leopard 2 tank is a main battle tank that was first introduced in the late 1970s. The 2A7 variant was developed in the early 2010s, with the first tanks being delivered in December 2014.
- The 2A7 was designed to be optimized for combat in urban terrain, with features such as a crew-compartment cooling-system, a new 20 kW auxiliary power unit, a Saab Barracuda Mobile Camouflage System, a field trial proven combat management and information system, and a retrofitted Attica thermal imaging module in the commander optics. It was also equipped with a new armor package that features Tungsten, Titanium as well as Nano-Ceramics, providing improved protection to the tank.
